If he's unable to please help him out.
Thank you for reminding me about that, Joharr! I want to know if Robert was at the game Saturday night!  Otherwise, I feel a proclamation coming on!
Robert was not at the game Saturday and by looking at his small school rankings this week, I believe it is hopeless.

 4.
Funny! There is a 6'7" kid  :-X who lives 8-9 blocks from Jack Yates High. His AAU team sends players to Yates.  His mom  :-X was an All-American/played pro ball overseas, and his paternal grandfather  :-X  was an All-American basketball (I think) player in college. This kid does not attend Yates.  :P
Right. He attends a private school. apples and oranges. ::)
 5.
Liberty was ranked at the time when they played Kelly. Second if it's  not based on who would beat who than shouldnt be based on who DID beat who. Kelly beat East Chambers AT East Chambers. Kelly has the same amount of losses as East Chambers, so please explain that logic of Kelly being ranked behind East Chambers. Iowa State was undefeated and going into last weeks game with Texas but wasnt anywhere near being ranked, because they haven't played anyone. A poll should factor in strength of schedule.
Strength of schedule is a factor, head to head is a factor, to go along with other factors. But the main "factor" is the simple fact that everyone likes Legacy and nobody likes Kelly. ;) ;D
 6. It's Pius, not Pious. Figured you Kelly folks would have that name down pat after losing to them so much. ;) ;D
 7.
The small school poll is nothing short of silly.  Kelly's only two losses are to teams ranked in the large school poll.  I'm glad Legacy is getting better but I don't think even their own coaches would expect a win if they played Kelly or EC.
I see one of those teams(BC) ranked, but I do not see the other(Liberty). BTW, if you haven't figured it out yet, the polls are not solely based on "who would beat who". When you are ranking 3 different classifications in the same poll, you cannot look at speculative matchups.
 8.
I bet Silsbee would love to have the Orangefield-Coldspring game tape. Silsbee by 20+.
What makes you think they don't? ;)
 9.

Legacy played their scrubs the whole 2nd half, running clock.
Didn't know you made it out to small school games while Silsbee was playing!   ;D ;) One thing for sure, I'm getting my post count up with this back and forth!  8) It is what it is, if we make past Lovelady undefeated then I'll expect some love from you pollsters.
I have eyes and ears everywhere!!! and btw, it was just two personal foul penalties against West Hardin, not 4. ;)

Super 16 Results! Yates Lions wins the 2011 Greater Houston Fall HS Championships due to forfeit by Strake Jesuit. ( Jesuit ticked off a lot of Yates folks, but understand totally why coach decided not to play, got to protect his team when threats are made)
Can you elaborate?
All I know is that the Jesuit coach was looking out for the safety of his team, had nothing to do with the competition level. Unruly Yates crowd making threats, is what I was told by person in attendance.

 15.
I totally agree that a team can get better, here's West Hardin from last year: 2010                                                                    2011 Opponent          Score Warren            36-13        W                                Warren              36-7        W Sabine Pass      48-0        W                                Sabine Pass      48-6        W Hardin              28-53        L                                  Hardin              43-0        W Kountze            8-29        L                                  Kountze            26-12      W Evadale            0-27        L                                  Evadale            34-6        W High Island        46-6        W                                  High Island        1-0 (F)    W               3-3 record                                                                6-0 record                    All I want to know is how ya'll can rate Legacy higher than West Hardin. That's the only answer I've wanted this whole time. I know scrimmages don't mean anything, but they could even move the ball against our defense & our offense ran wild.
It's very simple. Legacy and West Hardin have one common opponent, Sabine Pass. West Hardin  48 Sabine Pass    6 Legacy          49 Sabine Pass    0 The winner is LEGACY!!!!!! ;D (how in the world did West Hardin even let Sabine Pass score?) ;) ;D
 16. This was Legacy's non-district schedule last year and the results of those games: Opponent     Score Burkeville     0-34        L High Island     0-34        L Sabine Pass     27-0        W Burkeville     19-22      L Galveston O'Connell     27-14  W 2-3 record Of course we all know that these schedules are two year deals. Enrollment wise and based on these results, looks as though Legacy is playing teams along the same lines as them. nothing wrong with that. Could it be that Legacy just got better and these other teams did not? Can't fault Legacy for that.
 17. Livingston    28 Nederland    14 Last year's score was 21-16 Livingston.

 20.
You run on Jasper all day long.  Livngston did it, WO-S did it, Orangefield did it....heck even Lumberton did it. If you can't stop the run in high school football, you will not win.
Silsbee did it as well to the tune of 280 yards. ;) and Silsbee is a spread team!!
 21. Just to follow up: Last year Jasper averaged 26 points a game, but gave up 40 a game. This year Jasper is averaging 30 points a game, but also giving up 30 points a game.
 22. It is very simple. Several years ago Jasper decided to go the offensive route, meaning putting all their eggs in that basket(put the better players on offense, not defense). Since then Jasper's defense has been a shell of what I have grown up to know of a Jasper defense. They simply try to outscore opponents instead of trying to defend. This has been their downfall, particularly the last two years. When Jasper starts putting their better players on defense, you will see a return to glory for Jasper. Until then, it seems that everyone can score 30 points or more on these Jasper teams of late.
 23.
With state budgeting like it is I would be willing to bet if it were auctioned off you MIGHT be able to buy a number 1 combo at sonic with it... I disagree and say the winner of the Jasper/Center game will be 4-0 in district and the loser 3-1... I also will disagree that the winner of the district will lose round 1... I've eaten crow before, but am pretty confident on these predictions...
Uh, if Jasper wins the district (which I predicted) they will play Tyler Chapel Hill in the 1st round. That's #1 ranked Tyler Chapel Hill!! Jasper will lose.
