Two local head basketball coaching positions open
I have heard that former Kountze asst and current WOS asst, Hancock will be getting the EC job.
That is the talk but nothing official yet. Tremain did interview but the decision probably will not be made till next Thursday night at the board meeting. -
Yes the 21-3A district champ would see Yates in the 3rd round (quarterfinals) and the 21-3A 3rd place would see Yates in the 2nd round (Area). But let's not forget about who the 21-3A runner up would face earlier on in the playoffs. Houston Jones, another HISD 4A team that dropped down and who made the Region III 4A finals last season (lost to Yates), would meet the 21-3A runner up in the 3rd round (Quarterfinals). Houston Jones is in the same district as Yates along with all the other HISD schools who dropped down to 3A. Point being, there are lot's of teams to be concerned about regardless of how you finish in district.

Down to just East Chambers. Evadale has filled their head coach position with Lumberton assistant Keith Talbert. Hardin-Jefferson assistant Clay Davis has turned down the EC job, will be staying at HJ. -
Dont try and start something by saying something is brewing.. Everyone loves coach sutherland.. Its gonna be another great year for the Bucs.. Cant wait!
Huh?? You do know that the head basketball position is open, right? Coach Russ Sutherland is the AD/head football coach. I believe Coach Davis is inquiring about the head basketball position. -

I ask this not in jest but would really like to know. Also, I believe each chapter has good and bad officials. Seen enough of each chapter over the past few years to come to that conclusion.
BUNA is tied 7 boy's bball between 1954 and 1963 and 4 girls bball between 55 and 61. Barbers hill: 3 g bball, 2 football, 2 boy's track(1930's and 1950's) UIL archives
I thought Barbers Hill had some baseball and volleyball state titles too.
I'm not sure....anyone know? Maybe West Orange Stark...with football and track....not real sure.
WOS has 2 football and 3 track state titles. If you combine boys and girls and all sports, I believe Barbers Hill would probably have the most.
