Jeremy Johnson to play for Blinn College
AggiesAreWe replied to WOSgrad's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
With Jeremy only getting one year to play at Blinn, it's most likely he will switch positions unless he is able to beat out the current QB, which I wouldn't be surprised if that happened. I wish him all the success in fulfilling his dreams as a college football player. -
Where does 5A, 4A, 2A and 1A go thru?
Wow, I wouldn't have thought that the list would have been released until all of the district teams were finished with their seasons.
I agree. The norm has always been not to release the teams until every team has been eliminated. -

I understand the pros and cons of 1 game versus 3 game series. What I don't understand is this insistence on baseball playoffs going solely to 3 game series. If that's the case, should basketball go to 3 game series during the playoffs?
I think so you don't play one bad game and get knocked out of the playoffs when you feel you are the better team. IMO BC should just do away with Basketball......LOL
If basketball went to 3 game series, they would have to extend the season, therefore pushing baseball season back. Right now, basketball plays two rounds of playoffs per week, with regional tourney games back to back. Baseball plays 1 round of playoffs a week, including the regional semis and finals. Basketball only takes 2 1/2 weeks to reach the state tourney, baseball takes over a month to reach the state tourney. Personally, I have no problem with having a coin flip deciding if it's a 1 gamer or 3 game series.
So you are telling me that each and every kid (except the Johnson kid) was born, raised and reared in Sour Lake, Texas? Or even Nome, or China? And once again there is NOTHIING wrong if its not, I am just asking...You guys want to give Yates HS program a hard time for having kids that transfer there (without coercion), but if you guys look at this objectively, it happens in most places where there are good basketball programs. Its not accident that Silsbee got a kid from out of town..It speaks for their program, and its nothing wrong with that.
Well, if you are speaking of the young man from Irving McArthur who had to play JV for Silsbee this season, he had no choice but to come to Silsbee. His mother sent him on a bus to live with his grandmother who lives in Silsbee. The young man had no place to go.
