In regards to Silsbee, I know for a fact they were hardly at full strength. Playing these tourneys are fine but let's don't get caught up in the results too much.

Best all around team I have seen this season. Great pitching, solid defense, good, timely hitting. In the playoffs it's all about the draw and match ups. Bridge City can win in 1 or 3 game series because they have a dominant pitcher (Lemoine) and a deep staff (Guidry, Smith and co.). But you just never know what can happen in a 1 gamer even with Lemoine on the mound. I expect the Cards to go as deep as any team in our area.
The Silsbee Tigers will play host to the Bridge City Cardinals in 21-3A district action, TONIGHT at the Tiger Diamond, 7pm start time. Bridge City (16-2, 6-0) #2 in this weeks SETX polls, defeated Silsbee Wednesday night, 6-0, to break the tie and sit alone a top the district standings. Silsbee (16-5, 5-1) #3 in the SETX poll, suffered their first district loss and look to regain that tie with the Cards at the top of the district. These two teams split their district games last season. Our broadcast time will start 10 minutes prior to the first pitch which is scheduled for 7pm. It's against UIL rules to practice a sport out of season before or after school hours. You can practice a sport in the off season during school hours in the allowed 50 minute period. So, if your school has a class for basketball and baseball, they are allowed to practice that sport in the off season in the 50 minute period during school.
