Bevil started the first two series, going three and out and then leading them on a 8 play 55 yard touchdown drive finished by a 4 yard TD pass to Ford. Prewitt first series, picked up 1 first down then failed to get a first on 4th down resulting in turn over on downs. His second series, moved the offense from their own 30 to the opponent 35 but was taken out due to having his bell rung a couple of times, never came back on the field. JJ took over and in two plays completed a 30 yard TD pass to Hayes. JJ's first series, got one first down, then punt. Second series, moved the ball down to 25 yard line, drive stalled but FG made. Bevil was 3-6 passing, 26 yards and a TD. He also rushed 2 times for 12 yards. Prewitt was 2-3 passing, 34 yards. He rushed 2 times for 14 yards, sacked twice. JJ was 7-10 passing, 80 yards and a TD. He rushed three times for 12 yards, was sacked once. Offense scored 2 TD's and made two FG's. I think it's time for Woodard to name a starter at QB and let that player get as many reps as he can with first team. Right now, based on the practices and scrimmages that I have seen, it should be Bevil.
Anyone have any info on how they have looked so far. Very quiet from the team that many pick to be the front-runner in 20-4A this season.
In their two scrimmages, Livingston has scored 18 TD's and has yet to give up a score!!! (that ought to scare'em!) ;D

Ran and threw the ball very well. Scored several times. And played very good on the defensive side as well!
To be very blunt, LCM and every other 9th grade will do well against Silsbee's 9th. ;) :(
Is there an Albatross in the Silsbee system?
Gas, you know of this particular group as well as I do. ::) They won 1 game total in their 7th and 8th grade years.
I've noticed that the Jags and Coogs will square off tomorrow morning at 9:00a.m., but is that going to be JV and freshman first, followed by the varsity squads? Also, does anyone know where the scrimmage is going to be? KFDM wants to cover this matchup, awesome test for Central... we just wanted to see if any Jags fans had details! Thanks.
JV and 9th will start at 9am, varsity to follow around 10:30 am. The scrimmage will be held at BISD Stadium (Da Butch)

It was descent scrimmage for both teams. Both defenses gave up a couple of big plays but for the most part played well. Both offenses still need work on the passing game but all in all looked good. Silsbee just needs to give those two soph. (QB & RB) time to get some experience and they will be fine behind that very good O-line. Silsbee's secondary still needs work but it was poor tackling by the front 7 that actually cost the Tigers the two scores. On a sad note, PAM transfer Devonte Thomas is lost for the season with a knee injury that he suffered last week in the Kirbyville scrimmage. It was originally thought to be not serious but after getting an MRI it revealed a more serious injury that will keep him out for 3 months. Thomas was the starting defensive end that really looked promising. He is expected back by district play in basketball.
