Super 16 Results! Yates Lions wins the 2011 Greater Houston Fall HS Championships due to forfeit by Strake Jesuit. ( Jesuit ticked off a lot of Yates folks, but understand totally why coach decided not to play, got to protect his team when threats are made)
Can you elaborate?
All I know is that the Jesuit coach was looking out for the safety of his team, had nothing to do with the competition level. Unruly Yates crowd making threats, is what I was told by person in attendance.

 5.
I totally agree that a team can get better, here's West Hardin from last year: 2010                                                                    2011 Opponent          Score Warren            36-13        W                                Warren              36-7        W Sabine Pass      48-0        W                                Sabine Pass      48-6        W Hardin              28-53        L                                  Hardin              43-0        W Kountze            8-29        L                                  Kountze            26-12      W Evadale            0-27        L                                  Evadale            34-6        W High Island        46-6        W                                  High Island        1-0 (F)    W               3-3 record                                                                6-0 record                    All I want to know is how ya'll can rate Legacy higher than West Hardin. That's the only answer I've wanted this whole time. I know scrimmages don't mean anything, but they could even move the ball against our defense & our offense ran wild.
It's very simple. Legacy and West Hardin have one common opponent, Sabine Pass. West Hardin  48 Sabine Pass    6 Legacy          49 Sabine Pass    0 The winner is LEGACY!!!!!! ;D (how in the world did West Hardin even let Sabine Pass score?) ;) ;D
 6. This was Legacy's non-district schedule last year and the results of those games: Opponent     Score Burkeville     0-34        L High Island     0-34        L Sabine Pass     27-0        W Burkeville     19-22      L Galveston O'Connell     27-14  W 2-3 record Of course we all know that these schedules are two year deals. Enrollment wise and based on these results, looks as though Legacy is playing teams along the same lines as them. nothing wrong with that. Could it be that Legacy just got better and these other teams did not? Can't fault Legacy for that.
 7. Livingston    28 Nederland    14 Last year's score was 21-16 Livingston.

 10.
You run on Jasper all day long.  Livngston did it, WO-S did it, Orangefield did it....heck even Lumberton did it. If you can't stop the run in high school football, you will not win.
Silsbee did it as well to the tune of 280 yards. ;) and Silsbee is a spread team!!
 11. Just to follow up: Last year Jasper averaged 26 points a game, but gave up 40 a game. This year Jasper is averaging 30 points a game, but also giving up 30 points a game.
 12. It is very simple. Several years ago Jasper decided to go the offensive route, meaning putting all their eggs in that basket(put the better players on offense, not defense). Since then Jasper's defense has been a shell of what I have grown up to know of a Jasper defense. They simply try to outscore opponents instead of trying to defend. This has been their downfall, particularly the last two years. When Jasper starts putting their better players on defense, you will see a return to glory for Jasper. Until then, it seems that everyone can score 30 points or more on these Jasper teams of late.
With state budgeting like it is I would be willing to bet if it were auctioned off you MIGHT be able to buy a number 1 combo at sonic with it... I disagree and say the winner of the Jasper/Center game will be 4-0 in district and the loser 3-1... I also will disagree that the winner of the district will lose round 1... I've eaten crow before, but am pretty confident on these predictions...
Uh, if Jasper wins the district (which I predicted) they will play Tyler Chapel Hill in the 1st round. That's #1 ranked Tyler Chapel Hill!! Jasper will lose.

I haven't made a mistake yet in these polls. ;) ;D
Depends on where you keep putting Legacy vs West Hardin!  ;D ;D ;D
:-X
 15. I do know this and willing to bet the house on it as well. The three qualifiers out of this district will be 1 and done in the playoffs. All will lose their first round games whoever they are and whoever they play!!!

I wasn't even going to do the Big School poll, but I was asked to.  Almost time for my Texans to melt the Steelers!  ;D
So based on the fact you put a lot of stock in strength of schedule, are you saying that BC's strength of schedule is tougher than Vidor's since you have them ranked above Vidor?

 22. I watched the tape replay last night. PNG's kicker was barely making the extra points. I think Faircloth had no choice but to go for it on 4th.
