well i don't care about them, and im doing the work to make this poll so... i guess thats all that matters aye? its really just a 4a poll because that's what interest me. And as someone whos dealt with statistics on a regular basis i feel i can create a fair environment for this poll.
Here is a fair and accurate 4A poll: 1. Livingston 2. Barbers Hill 3. Nederland 4. Dayton 5. Ozen 6. Vidor 7. LCM 8. PNG 9. Central 10. CE King any other form of a 4A poll that would be different than this would be totally hogwash, inept, and show complete lack of knowledge of local 4A football. Ones involved would be looked upon as complete fools. ;)

I can't wait to see how johar and some of the Kelly fans respond to that lol.
I would imagine that it was done just for that reason! ;D Funny actually, shows me that the pollester who did it either likes to stir the pot or is dumb as a door knob. Either way I'll refrain from comment at this time, as my Oilers have a huge test at Lovelady. However, if we come out the winners, I do expect a little more love from the pollsters. I'd also make a guess and say either Aggies or Soulja did it, but it doesn't really matter. ;)
Good guess! ......................................./l\ ;) -
The won that mattered? In '09, HJ and Silsbee split in district and Silsbee won the district tie breaker. They did not meet in the regional final that year. (and we all know why :'() -

Not a chance of that, are they confident yes and of course they think they can win this game, if you don't think that way you don't have a chance. We always seem to play Silsbee tough and hopefully this year we can get over that hump, but we all know how talented the Tigers are and that this game will be tough to win. Should be interesting...
Always?? Hmmmm... Here is the complete history of the Orangefield/Silsbee game series: year score winner record '06 35-27 Silsbee 1-0 '07 42-0 Silsbee 2-0 '08 43-14 Silsbee 3-0 '09 56-20 Silsbee 4-0 '10 38-34 Silsbee 5-0 1 close game, 1 fairly close, 3 blowouts. Silsbee's lowest point total is 35, averaging right at 43 points a game in this series, Orangefield has averaged 19 a game. -
It doesn't help at all and no one else should try it.... ;D ;)
You may be right. It seemed that last year's HJ team faded in the 4th quarter in both games against Silsbee. ;) Silsbee plays football, no cross country. ;D -

Its simple, Lamar just needs to win and the fans will come. In the the late 70's with Larry Keenan as head coach they started winning and they averaged over 16K a game. In basketball, Tubbs and Foster kept winning year after year and attendance peaked to over 6K a game. The problem with Lamar is they lose a lot more than they win so people lose interest and attendance dwindles. All the other factors are minor compared to winning.
To you. And maybe the stands will fill to 16K plus if they start winning, not argueing that. it's just hard to believe some of ya'll do not respect and understand that "the other reasons" are important to some of US. If winning puts 16K in the stands, why not fix the other and put 20K in the stands. Who knows it may only put 16K + 1, that would still be better.
Understood...and here's my take: if you don't like what is going on with the team/university, don't associate with it/them. Don't go to games, don't watch highlights, don't wear LU apparel. I hardly doubt that 4k people have a problem with Anthony Oden and the others. Let's ask Bevil if he would rather play with the guys on the team now or trade them for some upstanding volunteers who played a down of football once who "deserve a second chance". I'll admit that I was reticent to getting Oden at first. His history spelled trouble. However, we got him. So what is easier to do? Be upset and say how he will kill someone on the road in a car, blah blah blah...(the easier thing to do in every situation is be negative). What is the more fun and fulfilling thing to do? Enjoy his presence on the offensive line now. I know Bevil and Johnson (when he's in) like having a guy like that "blocking" for them. So he's here now...you may as well back the team. Otherwise, like I said, don't go to the games. There are people from out of town that I'm sure would love to have your ticket to watch their team at Provost-Umphrey Stadium. Quite honestly, I'd rather see the people that are going to only have negative things to say stay home with their seats taken by the opponents. At least then if the stadium were sold out, we'd have 16,000 FANS. Lamar is not UT. It never will be. There are not too many fans of Lamar who are not students/alumni. Texas has that by the truckload. So if you plan on labeling yourself as a Cardinal fan, be just that. Be a fan. We can't all get what we want regarding this team. We learn to live with what we get. To be honest, if anyone isn't happy as a Lamar fan right now, then those people are S.O.L. To be 8-7 in the first 15 games of the program restarting is simply amazing. The Texans didn't work that quickly (I'm not comparing). I'm done...and yes, I re-registered my account. I can't sit back and watch all the negativity when we're 3-1 and have already surpassed what we were supposed to do this season (win one SLC game). P.S. It's nice to see all the Bevil/Woodard haters shut up for at least one week.
Welcome back TBone!

He is our small school expert, right? If he's unable to please help him out.
Thank you for reminding me about that, Joharr! I want to know if Robert was at the game Saturday night! Otherwise, I feel a proclamation coming on!
Robert was not at the game Saturday and by looking at his small school rankings this week, I believe it is hopeless.

SETXsports HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL RANKINGS - WEEK 5
AggiesAreWe replied to WOSgrad's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Liberty was ranked at the time when they played Kelly. Second if it's not based on who would beat who than shouldnt be based on who DID beat who. Kelly beat East Chambers AT East Chambers. Kelly has the same amount of losses as East Chambers, so please explain that logic of Kelly being ranked behind East Chambers. Iowa State was undefeated and going into last weeks game with Texas but wasnt anywhere near being ranked, because they haven't played anyone. A poll should factor in strength of schedule.
Strength of schedule is a factor, head to head is a factor, to go along with other factors. But the main "factor" is the simple fact that everyone likes Legacy and nobody likes Kelly. ;) ;D
