1.
I got money right now to put up that Kirbyville will beat all these teams in district. We will be solid on defense this year. I can't believe champion eagle pretty stating we're not gonna make the playoffs....LMAO
So, you are willing to bet Kirbyville will go undefeated in district. How much? Name your price.
 2. Still doesn't change the fact that Jasper went 6-5, with 0 wins over a team with a winning record and the defense giving up over 33 points a game. But you claimed CH dominated everyone and setxguru was just disputing that with facts. Now you want to talk about CH's strength of schedule. ::)
 3.
Still a long bus ride. Glad it's not me.  ;D
Particularly on a yellow dog. ;)
 4. An excerpt from this article: Long before Allen boomed to its current population of 84,256 (according to the 2010 census) district officials decided to remain a one-high school town. The result is a high school with 5,388 students in grades 9-12, according to figures calculated by the University Interscholastic League, the organization that oversees public school sports and academic competitions in Texas. But that figure doesn't even make Allen the largest school in its six-team football district, 10-5A. Plano East is the largest school in the state with an enrollment figure of 6,016. Plano Senior High has an enrollment figure of 5,315 and Plano West has 4,945. In Texas, Class 5A schools have a minimum enrollment of 2,090 students. Most 5A schools have enrollments closer to McKinney High, the smallest member of Allen's district with 2,121. Allen's varsity football team has about 100 players. There are another 100 on the two junior varsity teams, and 256 boys have signed up to play freshman football this fall. All told, there are approximately 1,200 kids playing football from seventh grade on up. But that's just the football program.
 5.
Deweyville and Anderson(Shiro) have the same situation in Dist.10-2A DivII.
About a 1/2 hour shorter ride for Deweyville, but still a 6 hour round trip.
 6.

Due to Lumberton's field house construction, Lumberton's game with Barbers Hill on Sept. 7 will now be at Barbers Hill. This will give Lumberton just 4 home games, 6 away. Barbers Hill now has 6 home games. Next year's game between these two teams will be in Lumberton. Lumberton will host their first home game the following week on Sept. 14 against Silsbee, providing the field house will be finished.
Who's the contractor on this job?
M. Y. Time Construction Co.
 7.
You think kountze could surprise a couple ppl?
Nope. Well, maybe if you consider them beating Shepherd and Hull-Daisetta a surprise. ;) They should beat Warren and maybe Hardin in district, but don't see them beating any of the other district teams. They may play Anahuac close.
 8. Looking on Mapquest, Sabine Pass will have at minimum a 3 1/2 hour (7 hour round trip) bus ride to their district game against Mt. Enterprise this year. Next year they will basically have the same bus ride when they visit Tenaha for a district game. Thankfully this is just a football district. Would hate to see this district in all the other sports.
 9. East Chambers 2nd, followed by a battle for 3rd between Kirbyville and Woodville.
 10.
Silsbee is looking for a game for Sept. 25th.  If your team is interested, send me a private message and we can set it up.
We (SETXsports) are looking for Silsbee's volleyball schedule. ;)
 11.

I feel their offense made great strides and with a young QB in Walker I like what I'm seeing from Jasper on the offensive side. If Jasper could get the defense back on track then watch out. You can't fix one thing and let another go bad and for the past couple of seasons I feel Jasper would be good on one side of the ball, but the other side of the ball drastically hurt the team
In that case i'd rather have a better Defense. Defense can score for you and stop the other team.
I agree. In the end the old saying is true, "Offense wins games, defense wins championships".
 12.
They better keep that QB healthy
That QB (Patrick Reed) has grown an inch and has added about 18-20 lbs. of muscle. '6"3  185 lbs. 4.6 I look for Reed to have a solid year leading up to next year his senior season.
 13.
Actually every playoff game that Chapel hill played was decided by 10 points or less except Jasper.  Chapel Hill beat Jasper 70 - 28.  During the regular season Chapel Hill had three more games that were decided by 10 points or less.  Chapel Hill had three gamesduring the that they won by one point.  Jasper on the other hand, the team that could "Run it Whenever and However" was 6-5, LOST TO ORANGEFIELD, and did not beat one team with a winning record.  However I do think that Jasper did finally get a quality Head Coach in Darrell Barbay, who will do things correctly and stay for more than two years.  Good luck to the Jasper Bulldogs in 2012!
Nuff said. Barbay will get the Dawgs back on track.

 15. Congrats sleepy!! Good luck in Chicago!
 16. Final ARG        97 USA        126 USA goes 5-0 in pool play.
 17. So much for my thinking it was going down to the wire. USA stepped it up in 2nd half, Argintines got tired. It also got real chippy in this 2nd half.
 18. USA now with a 9 point lead with 6:33 left in 3rd. ARG      66 USA      75
 19. Post updates on the USA men's thread.
