1.
I changed it back. I was right the first time. If Silsbee, HF and Orangefield all end up 2-3, Orangefield is +6 and HF is -14. Even if HF beats Silsbee by the max (+18), they would still only be +4 while Orangefield is +6. That gives Orangefield the last spot.
You are correct. It's pretty simple for Silsbee, a win over HF and they are in, regardless of how the BC/OF game turns out.
 2.
WOS is in and will go DII-C Bridge City is in with a:   win OR   Silsbee loss OR   loss to Orangefield by 6 points or less Silsbee is in with a:   win OR   loss to Hamshire-Fannett by 2 points or less Orangefield is in with a:   win by 7 points or more OR   win and Silsbee loss by 3 points or more Hamshire-Fannett is out Hardin-Jefferson is out
Hamshire-Fannett is not out of it yet. HF could still end up in a three way tie with Silsbee and Orangefield if HF beats Silsbee and BC beats Orangefield. All three would be 2-3. Then it would be up to a points tiebreaker between the three. Right now the point total between HF, OF and Silsbee is as follows: Silsbee +8    15-7 win over Orangefield OF  +6        15-7 loss to Silsbee, 28-14 win over HF (their point total is finished) HF -14          28-14 loss to Orangefield Only way HF gets in is for them to beat Silsbee by 11 points or more and have Orangefield lose to BC. That would put HF and Silsbee both at -3 and HF would break the tie with head to head win. All Silsbee has to do is beat HF(no matter how much), that would finish Silsbee at 3-2 (HF 2-3) and the Tigers have the advantage of the points tiebreaker with BC and OF. Silsbee can lose to HF by 10 points or less and get in the playoffs as long as BC beats Orangefield. Point totals in the case of a three way tie with BC, OF and Silsbee are as follows: BC  +6 Silsbee +2 OF  -8 Only way Orangefield gets in with this tie would be to beat BC by 7 points or more, which would put BC and Orangefield with a -1 point totals and Orangefield would get the playoff position with their head to head win over BC. BC gets in with a win over OF or a loss of 6 points or less.
 3.
WOS 14 WINS Silisbee 4 wins...... ALL TIME against each other
Actually, WOS leads the series 16-3 all time.
 4. WOS Chain Gang Defense stepped up in the 2nd half, virtually shutting down the Tigers. The 3rd quarter was purely dominant by the Mustang defense. Silsbee only had 6 offensive plays in that quarter, gaining a minus 2 yards. Silsbee had a -16 yards rushing in the second half after gaining 100 yards in the first half. Silsbee did throw for 200 yards for the game, ending with a total of 284 yards of offense. WOS's offense finally decided to go to the run game after their first two offensive possessions were 3 and outs, and it paid off dearly. Mustangs rushed for over 250 yards, exploiting the Tiger's defense in the middle, with Lindsey and Salter having very good games on the ground. Salter did pass for 95 yards and a TD. Silsbee's defense just wore down in the second half. Silsbee's offense relied on the big play tonight and had it not been for 4 big plays, the Tiger offense would have been shut out. Just too much speed on that Mustang D. It should also be noted that penalties killed the Mustangs tonight. Had it not been for some very untimely penalties on WOS, the Mustangs probably win this game by 3-4 TD's. Congrats WOS on a very good game and win. You were clearly the better team. Congrats on your district championship. Silsbee, keep your head up. Got one game left and a win over Hamshire-Fannett will send you guys to the playoffs once again.
 5. Halftime total yards WOS    194 Silsbee  199
 6. Halftime WOS      14 Silsbee    13
 7. Silsbee will be without their defensive coordinator Coach Hickman tonight. Prayers out to him and his family as Coach Hickman's wife undergoes surgery this evening.

 10.
all i want to know is when i can watch these bucs on tv like we were promised. These seniors delivered the game of their lives at home for the last time. it was alot of wasted effort if this game is not aired at some time! the game was even played on thursday, a short week of preparation for both of these teams to be on the tv.
Only KFDM can answer that question.
 11. Thru 95 votes: WOS  54 Silsbee 41 WOS a 57% favorite.
 12.

There are a few kids at local HS's that are possible recruits but PA Memorial QB has committed to Baylor. The Tezeno kid at WO-S is a junior and Lamar should be recruiting him now. I like the WR at Kelly but I heard he likes UNT. Lamar has commitments from a kids at HJ and Silsbee. There are a couple of lineman at West Brook I like but their best player in a UT commit. There are other kids a PA Memorial that are talented but Lamar has never has much success recruiting Port Arthur. There is a WR from PN-G Lamar is recruiting and the RB is talented but I'm not sure he is a college RB. He may need to change positions at the next level. I'm sure there a more locals but I haven't seen a lot of HS football this year.
I've seen the PNG receiver on the Friday night experience games a couple of times.  If he plays like that all the time, he is a VERY talented receiver.  The two games I watched, he seemed to always be open and to never drop a pass.  I have no idea how fast or big he is as it is hard to tell on tv but if getting open and catching are any indication, he defintely will be playing at the next level.  I think there are definitely a few kids at PNG, Nederland, WB, and Memorial that would be great recruits.  I'm sure there are others at all of the local schools.  I haven't seen Vidor play, but judging by how well they are doing, the should have someone playing at the next level.  Also, I'm wondering about a couple of those kids at Bridge City.  Their QB and Dishon (any others?).  I'm not sure if their QB is college QB material but he seems to be heck of an athlete.
Menard (QB for BC) and Dishon have already committed to play baseball at the DI level.
 13.
What is CW KFDM channel 10?  I have Time Warner....KDFM is channel 3 on TW so I am wondering if I will get it???
The game will be tape delayed on the CW Channel 10 on your Time Warner cable at 9pm.
 14. Time Warner digital HD channel 866. Channel 10 on regular cable.
 15.
Get him on the field ala Tannehill at A&M who played WR for two seasons before getting his shot at his recruited position of QB. I think it really helped him to understand how to read a defense better. Of course you have to be a great athlete to do it and JJ is a great athlete.
Very good point. I think JJ can be an outstanding QB for Lamar, in due time.

Central was the best team I saw. Now, if the coaching doesn't fail them ;), I see them winning 20-4A.
Huh? What game did you see? I remember Ozen play Central twice during the summer @ Smith Middle and Odom Middle Schools in tournaments They didn't beat Ozen the two times I was there.
I saw them go undefeated in the Silsbee summer tourney, beat Ozen and PAM (in the finals) to go undefeated in the tourney. They were clearly the best team out of the 24 teams at this tourney. I also saw them play a few other times over the summer. It is noted that Ozen played without Trey Green the whole summer.
 17. HJ wins this game, but not by 25+.
 18. I based my picks on what I saw this summer. Central was the best team I saw. Now, if the coaching doesn't fail them ;), I see them winning 20-4A.
 19. Jeremy is not a running back, he is a QB. Just not built or ready for running between the tackles every play, blocking, picking up blitzs. It would be a mistake to change his position to RB. Now, if he doesn't progress over the next couple of years at the QB position (I am betting he will progress) then move him to receiver. He is just a freshman, still learning the system. I believe he is the future for Lamar at QB. Time and experience is all that is needed. I do agree though, for the time being it would be smart to get Jeremy on the field in some capacity. But don't throw out or jeopardize is QB career in doing so.
