I have heard that Collins from Livingston may graduate early and enroll at Baylor? for football.  If so that will hurt Livingston in basketball. Does anyone know for sure if he will play basketball for Livingston this year?
I personally spoke with Chevoski at the Silsbee summer tourney. He told me he was looking forward to playing basketball for Livingston this year. He looked really good in the summer tourney.

And Nederlands 2nds scores twice to WOS 0, does that mean Nederland "wins" the scrimmage???
There is "NO WAY" that`s  going to happen. I`m  telling you, WOS is going to win this game, no doubt about it.
Game or scrimmage?
Silsbee v Newton would be called a "SCRIMMAGE".  Nederland v WOS will be called a "WAR".  "HOW BOUT THEM APPLES".
::) Funny, you and one other Stang fan is calling the Ned/WOS scrimmage a "game, war", while most other real, sensible WOS fans are just calling it a scrimmage. I see no Nederland fan calling this scrimmage "more" than what it really is, just a scrimmage.
 3. From what I saw of Livingston at Silsbee's summer tourney, the Lions will make the playoffs out of 20-4A.
 4.
Apparently, we still have some loyal WOS fans that are a little PO after last years loss to NED. Anybody coming into a scrimmage who's worried about the score or win, by your terms, doesn't know much about football. I could see a team that was 0-10 last year might be more concerned about the score for confidence reasons, but that is as far as I will go.  Hey AAW, I guess we all understand Coop's logic now. When a team doesn't have 2nd stringers I can see how they always have 25 - 30 starters returning every year. Go figure.  ;D
LMAO!!!! Good point!

 6.
Put money where your mouth is cowboy! Why isn't he on the tour if he is so great? I just don't understand your reasoning behind that. Oh he is busy coaching HJ football? Oh he is busy winning local tourneys. The dude is good! It's great you hold his jock they way you do. What about YOU STEVENASH? What are you good at? Typing? Calling Badsanta for " illegal favors", or is it chewing and turning the channel at the same time?
That first comment makes me laugh considering you still owe me $1000 from a previous bet. ::)
 7.
Wasn't he by a cart path? Was he out of bounds or is that considered a hazard?
He was inside a red line marking a lateral water hazard. Not allowed to ground club and not allowed to move loose objects.
 8.
Concerning the second stringers comments...WO-S does have second and third string teams. Having 30 or less players doesn't change that.  They have some players not in silver helmets who will be evaluated on the varsity level.  Plus, they have players who will play in positions they normally do not play in order to grade them, as well.  To the coaches for both teams, this is all about grading their teams progress and individual players.  Nothing more, nothing less.  I know for a fact that is true for Coach Thompson.  No game planning or Friday night strategy will be involved.  Therefore, any "score" will not matter at all.  A few comments on here make too big of a deal about this scrimmage.  When I think of scrimmages, I'm reminded of the 2000 season when Lumberton got the better of WO-S in the first scrimmage of the year.  It was a wake up call for the Mustangs.  If the two teams had played in the regular season, WO-S would have manhandled the Raiders.  But the scrimmage did what it is supposed to.  It motivated the players and helped the coaches evaluate the team's progress and what needed to improve.
Excellent post, griff. As for the "couple of comments", I believe both have come from a "Coopish" Mustang fan. ;)
 9.
Thought you could clean debris around the ball as long as the ball does not move. Never heard of this rule. Saw it on tv, still don't believe it.
Not allowed in a hazard.
 10.
WO-S doesnt do controlled scrimmages, They do game like scrimmages were the score is kept, only thing different is they dont do live kick-offs and punt returns.. And even if it was controlled fans and coaches still keep score! Only fans and or coaches of a losing/un-successful program say things like "hey guys its just a scrimmage there isnt a score" Last year in the Vidor Scrimmage WO-S won with a last second field goal. Vidor was keeping the score and the time on the scoreboard
Until the UIL records scrimmages as actual wins and losses on a school and coach's record, then there is no such thing as winning or losing a scrimmage, game type or not. Out performing, looking better, playing better, these are phrases that I think are fair for fans to use in describing their team's performance in a scrimmage. Not win or lose.
 11.
Who do you guys have winning this one?? I Have WO-S by 2td's
Isn't this just a scrimmage? a controlled one at that? Winning...... geesh ::)
 12.
I will refrain from futher comment, then.  But only until the next insult arrives.
Steve, your comments were only in defense. No harm. Just saw this thread as being senseless and pointless.

 17. Rory will win. Too much of a lead now.
 18. USA hangs on to win gold. Final USA        107 Spain      100
 19. 3:20 left USA      97 Spain    91
 20. LeBron now on the bench with 4 fouls. 5 minutes left USA    95 Spain  87
 21.
I wish they would attack the rim
Why change their philosophy? They are determined to win or lose by the 3!! Sad to say, this is the only kind of offense these guys seem to know.
