1. Let's make one thing clear. I have no bias against Kirbyville. I have friends on the Kirbyville coaching staff and friends that live in Kirbyville or are fans of Kirbyville. I have nothing against the school or it's athletic teams. I wish them all the best. BUT I do have a problem with one certain big mouth Wildcat fan, Kvillecats. If that's considered a bias, then so be it. I will not enjoy winning money because Kirbyville lost, but will enjoy it because I took the money from loud mouth Kvillecats.
 2. I spoke with BISD Assistant AD Ron Jackson yesterday at the West Brook scrimmage. I told him we still intend to broadcast BISD football games. He told me that he assumed we would be doing it and to move forward with the process. He told me he would speak with AD Rodney Saveat to confirm it but he said it shouldn't be a problem. We agreed that I will follow up with a call Monday morning to finalize it. This is the schedule of games that I will broadcast for BISD: Sept. 8    Saturday    PA Memorial @ Beaumont Ozen      7pm Sept. 15  Saturday    Houston Lamar @ West Brook        7pm Oct. 6    Saturday      La Porte @ West Brook                7pm Oct. 19  Friday        Channelview @ West Brook            7pm Oct. 20  Saturday      LCM @ Ozen                              1pm Oct. 20  Saturday      Vidor @ Central                          7:30pm Nov. 3    Saturday      LCM @ Central                            7:30pm I will also do any BISD playoff games that do not conflict with Silsbee playoff games.

The WR's for Lufkin have some mad skills!! The QB is rock solid as well. Lufkin will have great success as long as the get the ball in the hands of those wideouts.
Thats the same QB who SHOULD have been starting last year IMO. How did the LP front four look on D? Did #96 (DE) play?
Yes, but #91 DT was the Big Man on that line. Had to be '6'6 300 lbs with quick feet.

 6. [Hidden Content] Lufkin outscored Beaumont West Brook, 4-1, in touchdowns in the controlled portion of the scrimmage, then outscored the Bruins 21-14 in a live half of action in the team’s final tuneup for next week’s season opener against John Tyler.
 7. Here are the live quarter stats: 1st Quarter                             Sabine Pass                    Kountze 2nd Team rushing                    7/-3 yards                        4/42 yards  TD passing                  1-2- 1 yard                        2-2- -1 yard total                        9/ -2 yards                        6/ 41 yards FD                              0                                    3 2nd & 3rd Quarters                                   Evadale                        Kountze 1st Team rushing                      12/111 yards  TD              11/108 yards passing                      2-3- 14 yards  TD              1-4- 4 yards  TD total                          15/ 125 yards                  15/ 112 yards FD                                5                                        4 The quarters were 8 minute continuous running clock. Evadale played very well in the live portion of the scrimmage. Sabine Pass I am afraid will have a very long season. Kountze has improved, but they will not beat the likes of East Chambers, Newton, Kirbyville and Woodville.
 8. I kept stats for the live quarter sessions. I will post them soon. Evadale did quite well in the live portion of the scrimmage.
Yeah right! They spanked y'all in the scrimmage and now u assuming they gonna beat us....LMAO
I saw with my own eyes Kirbyville scrimmage Deweyville and Hamshire-Fannett. Kirbyville did not look as good against those teams as East Chambers did against Silsbee. I think most intelligent folks will tell you Silsbee is a far better team than HF and Deweyville. East Chambers will beat Kirbyville. Want to bet another $100 just on that game?
 10.
The score is not important. It was just a scrimmage.
It wasn't a war? ::)

 13.
5:00 p.m. at West Brook!
The scrimmage has been moved to Da Butch. Still a 5pm start for varsity. 3:30 for subvarsity. I plan on making this scrimmage then head up to Evadale for the 3 way scrimmage with Kountze, Evadale and Sabine Pass which starts at 6pm.
 14. Here are the stats from last night's scrimmage (sorry for the delay): edit: these are only 1st team stats for both teams 12 play controlled scrimmage                               Silsbee                        East Chambers rushing                    6/32 yards                      3/-1 yards passing                2-6- 18 yards                    6-9- 141 yards 2 TD's total                      12/50 yards                    12/140 yards FD                            3                                      6 Two 10 minute live quarters                                 Silsbee                            East Chambers rushing                    11/48 yards  TD                  13/60 yards  TD passing                  11-24- 143 yards  2INT          7-10- 85 yards 1 TD  1 INT total                      35/ 191 yards                      23/ 145 yards FD                            12                                        8 Time of Poss.            9:57                                    10:03 Combined controlled and live scrimmage:                                   Silsbee                                East Chambers rushing                      17/80 yards TD                          16/59 yards  TD passing                    13-30- 161 yards 2 INT            13-19- 226 yards  3 TD's  INT total                          47/241 yards  TD                    35/285 yards  4 TD's FD                                15                                            14 East Chambers first play in the 12 play controlled scrimmage was a pass to Roberts in the flat that he turned into a 70 touchdown pass play. This pretty much set the tone for the rest of the scrimmage. East Chambers played very well and executed much better than Silsbee. I was impressed with East Chambers on both sides of the ball. Silsbee was very flat, particularly in the controlled section. When they went to the live 10 minutes quarters, the Tigers picked up the pace some. Their first possession was an 11 play 70 yards scoring drive that took 4:15 off the clock. It was the longest time consuming drive for either team. Silsbee mixed the run with the pass very well in that drive (8 rushes, 3 passes). After that, Silsbee was all about the pass. The Tigers only rushed the ball 3 times the rest of the night while attempting 21 passes, completing just 8 of them. A total of 13-30 passing is not going to make Silsbee successful in any game or scrimmage. It was a good scrimmage overall. East Chambers proved they are a team to be reckoned with and fully intend to defend their district crown. For Silsbee, it's a wake up call, particularly from last week's success against Newton. Silsbee has many things to work on in preparation with their game next week against PNG.
 15. It's been a long day for me. I will post complete stats of this scrimmage in the morning. I will make these couple of comments. East Chambers out played, out performed and out coached Silsbee tonight. Just that simple. After seeing Newton and Kirbyville last week and East Chambers tonight, it's quite obvious to me who has the best team of the three. East Chambers will win district! I will post stats and make some more detailed comments of this scrimmage in the morning.
 16. :) ;) :D ;D >:( :( :o 8) ??? ::) :P :-[ :-X :-\ :-* :'( <<<<<<<<<<<<<
 17.
Yea they got there at the mid point of the basketball season
Correct. Started playing for Kountze in January after sitting out the required number of days. The Harper kid's dad is a coach at Kountze. He was there last year.
 18.
Kountze @ Evadale... jv starts at 5... varsity starts 6 or 6:30
Is this a Thursday or Friday scrimmage? Also, thought this scrimmage was in Kountze.

 20.
From the megatropolis that is Chester, 1982 graduate Bo Stanley.  He was a beast in every sport, and was a senior when I was freshman.
I know Bo very well, were neighbors here in Silsbee for several years, played softball together. He was a great athlete. Can't fish worth a lick. ;) ;D
 21.
Newton can't be THAT tough if Silsbee totally dominated them the way they did...    ::)
Silsbee would handle the Wildcats as well.
