If that is the case (and I believe that to be) Shaw will have to sit out 15 days before he can suit up for the Mustangs. That would have him missing at least the first 2-3 games and maybe even the 4th game. If Goodwin did not sign off on Shaw (highly unlikely since Goodwin is a former WO-S coach, probably doesn't want to hinder Shaw's high school career and the transfer had nothing to do with athletics) then Shaw would have to play JV ball this year and play varsity next season since he is just a junior.

Listened to the show. Bridge City RB Ashton Hunter is lost for the season due to torn ACL in summer workouts. As for the WO-S starting QB, it's my understanding that the soph. Cole has a shot at being the starting QB but I expect junior Rutledge to still get that spot.

I have close personal knowledge of parents holding their kids back in kindergarten to allow them have another year of maturity. (My oldest son is one of those kids but wasn't held back for athletic purposes) I almost was one of those kids but my mom would not let my dad have his way.  ;D
