Ozen may have stolen the O coordinator but, looks like the D coordinator shoulda been sent with him. WOW!!!!!

Agreed I was 1 of the so say by a few, 100 fans that showed up.I support the school and will continue to do so win or lose.Give the coach time to build back up what some have torn down. They need a lot of work, but as you said beyond WOS everyone else will be bouncing balls by week two after the regular season is done.

Yep, it's one game and if memory serves, Ozen lost an opener by a similar score to Memorial two years ago; a Titan team that ended up not being very good.  The team Ozen lost to today is a juggernaut that would probably obliterate most of the teams in SETX.  
Seasons are not made or lost in Week 1...

Ok Ozen lost its just a game,the kids took a butt whipping which is what happens when you dont come to play . But if my memory is correct  a lot of teams from the area took it on the chin a number of ways last night NEDERLAND,VIDOR,SILSBEE. All the this what they wanted and bs jokes is cool . But ask yourself there isnt but one team in this area that has a chance to win a ship and thats WOS. I hear a lot of you talking about what these teams will do and most won't make it out the 2nd rd. After years of mediocre football coaches Ozen finally has one that cares about the kids and not using it as a stepping stone. It will take time for the program to return to form i have faith as im sure other Panther fans do as well. 

Why is he?  I have yet to see you give a reason why you think that.  I have a sneaky suspicion why you think that he is.

Just made it home from the Butch watching the Panthers & we were tackled by Episcopal players in my driveway. Lol

I know its a scrimmage but im not impressed with either team . I thought Silsbee would dominate but their missing something ...Ozen corners had a chance to pick off that pass kid never turned around. Plus they were too busy trying to get after Tyler that i dont think they were focused. Ozen has a decent line but dang im hoping they blow someone off the line of scrimmage big as they are. QB needs to get on the same page as his receivers. Threw them short ,behind and over. Run blocking needs to improve along with the effort. This isnt for any team in particular but kids these days play too cool, you gotta let it all hang out whatever sport you play. The body language of some these kids is horrible. Both teams got a long way to go. Sislbee a few adjustments here and there Ozen back to the drawing board with some serious evaluation. 

Please stop with the foolery whoever keeps saying Ozen wont play Silsbee is utterly ridiculous. Do you know how you sound when you say that . Lets think Ozen has played numerous top ranked 6a & 5a schools its way too many to name btw and beaten them but somehow we are scared to play Silsbee lmaoooooo.. Ask my good friend Bush what our supposedly scared coach said. WE DONT RUN FROM ANYBODY SIR... Win or lose...  Maybe you should ask Sigler why he doesnt want to play the game we've only been asking since the last time yall won by 3 i think .. Sooooo whats the excuse 

And fyi i clearly remember someone saying Bush was the best team Silsbee played last year funny thing is Ozen beat them too... 

I hope so ,it's not the students per say, they need more qualified teachers for all subjects. During the BISD  turmoil they cut a lot of good teachers. Their are good academic students at Ozen ,my daughter happen to be one of them was one of top students at Odom, and at Ozen as well. I also have two others that graduated and are now working very well paying jobs. My point is, it is not the smart students that are lacking at Ozen it is the lack of more qualified teachers. You can get a quality education at any school ,sometimes it just take more self initiative.

Prayers sent for you ,I also have had my appendix removed very painful prior to ,but God answers prayers.

Agreed ,I know this is a sports site, but something needs to be done academically first, at all bisd school's then, as Cam said student athletes will come. Teachers are at a disadvantage, because administration does not give them the things they need to be successful in their class room's.They need more income, more control of their class regarding students that want to learn and those that do not. They also need certified and competent teachers that are teaching within their degree field. If all these things are done ,the student athletes will come.Don't take this as just an Ozen thing this is a bisd thing.

I haven't posted for awhile because I don't have a dog in the fight anymore. How can we ask a kid to Honor any commitment if these Coaches are allowed full range, but yet have the ability to hold kids hostage or leave them in dire situations like this?? Every opportunity I get I tell kids/families my son's saga at Ozen; not out of spite, but for encouragement. The numerous Coaches, disrespect, lies etc..
But God is still on the Throne. My advice is and always will be to Train hard, don't get ready, be ready for any and everything. Favoritism and politics are real, the only thing you can control is your attitude and yourself. Feel bad for the kids, so glad I didn't have to deal with this sort of crap when I was chasing dreams.  BISD has to do better in the classroom first, then everything else will follow suit.

Just from an administrative perspective ,they have to pay the teachers more to get good quality teachers. The facilities are fine ,and agree there will always be a long list of applicants for coaching at any one of these schools in football and basketball.

Not sure if anyone is comparing but me personally, all I am saying is that Ozen provided a well-rounded academic program for my kids.

There is nothing wrong with BISD academics. My kids had plenty of homework. Sometimes I was wishing the work would slow down a little  Study hall before classes and after classes. Saturday labs were also offered. It was a very good learning experience for those who took advantage.

The misconception of BISD schools being bad academic schools are ridiculous...how about this lets trade kelly & BISD kids and see who would have higher academics...you can get a great education at ANY school in BISD it's your choice. I know cause I got one so please stop the madness. 

Tons of homework at Ozen, even for seniors now that'll be graduating in less than a month that's finishing in the top 10% in their class....

Ok, I can understand that ,my kids attend BISD schools and I would be the first to tell you, I am not proud of many of the things that went on or that are going on now .The school systems world wide are nothing like they used to be ,we have to pray, and raise our kids at home first, otherwise all kids will be in for a rude awakeing. ijs.
