I'd bump Mag West Down to 3 star. Last year was really the only good year they've had. Not fair to put them in the same category as the other 4 stars.

I was going to post this, but I forgot. Thanks for posting it. Its a pretty fair assessment. I think they overrate Magnolia a little too much. Yeah they return a lot of starters, but those starters were TERRIBLE. Brenham SHOULD finish first with Montgomery, Mag West, Willis, and Huntsville fighting for the last 3 playoff spots. Waller could sneak into the mix, but after that there's quite a bit of drop off.

Probably not BrenhamFan.... Probably not...

This incoming freshman class is stacked with talent. The future is very bright, but this is gonna be a rough year outside of the weak district(not including Brenham). The hype this year is riding off the coattails of the past 4 years.

Ok here are there predictions and state rankings for the district: 1.#16 Montgomery 2.#19 Brenham 3. Willis 4. Huntsville 5. Magnolia West 6. Waller 7. Magnolia 8. Bryan Rudder 9. Caney Creek Well, honestly, I laughed in the middle of the store when I saw this. I like their optimism, but there's just no way. Predicting Montgomery over Brenham is hard enough to believe but #16 in the State??? Hahaha I'm sorry that's just preposterous. They also have them beating Nederland in the second round (don't see this happening) and eventually losing to Dawson in a rematch in the 3rd round. I'm not saying I don't believe in our team, but I'm just being realistic. I know the players on this team. They just lack too much in both experience and talent. They'll be OK, but they won't be this good. The whole season will be quite the awakening for Montgomery Football and the people who are used to seeing the emerging power that has been around the past 4 years.

Dedrick Linton and Jimmy Dominick will share carries like they did for the second half of last season. Sophomores Paul Allen and Jordan Brown might see some action too.

Montgomery- 2 rounds just because the new 17-4a sucks. Probably ends up losing to Nederland if my district predictions are right.

I understand, but just growing up in Coldspring I didn't consider us to be in SETX. I understand that they're included due to the teams in the district. Kinda like Livingston. They weren't SETX til they joined 20-4a. Before then they were in Montgomery's district which I thought was a better fit. As for 18-4a that was more of a joke just because we feel included because of BrenhamFan even though we are clearly not in SETX.

I grew up in Coldspring til I was 10. It ain't SETX. Its a whole lot closer to Conroe than Beaumont.
