Well Tomball memorial is a brand new school, this is their first varsity year, so I gave Mag West the benefit of the doubt.

Coming from a former Bear who knows a lot about this year's team, this game and the Dawson game are gonna be ugly. I just hope the team mentally recovers and can use it as a learning experience for district play.

As far as I know, none of the Montgomery RBs have been in trouble this year. That was last year's RB who was suspended. This year is definitely a rebuilding year and it will be evident in the first two games against Angleton and Dawson. Angleton 48 Montgomery 14

As much as it pains me to say it: Montgomery. We're playing Angleton and the team is receiving the hype from the '11 and '12 classes' success the past 4 years. That talent is gone now and it's time for some growing pains.

Realistically we probably won't be 5* material after this year, but the Leroy era and last year's team definitely merit a 5*.

Very Intense game. First Leroy almost landed in the end zone. Second we had that penalty on the goal line because the lineman wasn't set long enough. Then third the pass got knocked away as time expired.

Well 5 of course  ;) But in all seriousness, Montgomery has been a playoff contender for the past 5 years including a deep run to the 4th round. We've been in the state spotlight quite a bit lately (including state rankings) and have become more well known. That should up our prestige. Beating Dawson was probably the signature moment that I would use as an example of Montgomery's success and recognition. Plus we beat the pants off of 4* Crosby the past 3 times we've played. Gotta be higher than them  ;)

Here's how I'd rate the teams that I'm fairly familiar with: 6* Brenham Dayton Pearland Dawson 5* Angleton Friendswood Montgomery PNG 4* Crosby Humble Lamar Consolidated (ONLY because of State Title) Nederland Terry 3* Barbers Hill Beaumont Central Baytown Lee Foster GCM Huntsville Kingwood Park Livingston Magnolia West Ozen Stratford Summer Creek Texas City Tomball Vidor Waller Willis I don't feel like ranking the 1 and 2 stars.

Also, I'd bump Dawson up to 6. Their worst year they lost in the 3rd round.
