1. I'd just like to say this, a couple turnovers don't overcome a 31 point deficit. You don't beat yourselves in a blowout. Sorry, but this was just a good ole BEATEMDOWN! [img][Hidden Content]]
2.
Big #99
Well I see he got a TD, but how has he been on defense tonight?
3. Navasota ain't nothing to play with! I saw them firsthand when they rolled over Montgomery in the scrimmage. Them Rattlers are for real.
4. It's ok BF... I feel your pain. Connally 33 Montgomery 0 in the 3Q
5. Prediction: Kyrion Parker comes out and has a monster game and leads Manvel to the victory! Garner gets a pick too.  8)
6.

#80 is playing, but is a non factor. You can see his shoulder is bothering him. No #11.
#11 is a difference maker.  He filled in for Arboleda the 7 games he missed with a broken collar bone.  #80 is lazy.  Watch him on run plays.  He usually does nothing until they get inside the 25.  Then it's fade city.
Apparently DG had pretty good blocking on that 50 yd TD run
7.
Bears come through in OT. Montgomery 22 Magnolia 15 Final Goin to be one and done if the Bears don't pick it up!!!!!!!
Geez we're limping into the playoffs... Down right embarrassing play the last 2 games. Better get it straight or Connally will run us off the field.
8. As for Monroe, I see him as more athlete than QB which is the case for a lot of the QBs in the 2014 class. Sharp is the best passer out of all the dual threats. Overall though its a down year for QBs in 2014.
9. Oh I know from way back in your Scooter days! You and I have have been longtime fans of "That Boy Johnny!"  8)
Yeah but There's also Kenny Hill in the 2013 class (who I see being Johnny's successor) and possibly Kyler Murray in the 2015 class. I could see Sharp getting offered, but QB is a very low priority in 2014.
I don't think Kenny Hill will ever see the field and I don't think they will ever offer Murray at the qb position. Kohl Stewart is a bigger and more accurate version of Hill already, plus somewhere I read that Matt Davis was pushing Manziel for the job during the fall. I think Sharp will make the ESPNU 150 but not sure if he's going to get the offers of even a Nathan Dick due to the fact he's a southpaw and a little thin right now. Very accurate but the arm strength is still a toss up.
I though coaches loved Southpaws? And for as size Sharp is 6'3 183....the college will get him bigger. I don't think Kenny Hill will touch the field, neither will Matt Davis, they are not that good to me. I hear Hill will possibly go pro for baseball with Kolh....I honestly think Kohl will be the best fit for those outstanding wrs they are bringing in.
Lots of misinformed people in this conversation: A) Manziel is not a head case. He made a mistake one night, but has moved on and learned from it. Kingsbury said he's been a model citizen, and Sumlin said it was out of character. I've met him once, he's a very nice guy. B) Matt Davis was a distant 4th in the QB race. He was never close to pushing for the job. He will either change positions, transfer, or try to start for one season if he wants to play. Personally, I think he moves to safety down the line. C) Kohl has been projected by some as a top 10 pick in the MLB. I don't see him passing that up just to sit behind Manziel. He's got a lot of arm strength, but I question his decision making and lack of productivity against terrible competition. Personally, I think he goes MLB and becomes a very good pitcher. D) Kenny Hill is very Manziel-like because he is anything but conventional, but he is a winner and consistently produces. He is the guy that this staff went after. Stewart was a Sherman commit that they honored. Sumlin's staff went after Hill on their own. I believe he is their guy. He is not an MLB risk. Personally, I see Kenny being Johnny's successor. E) Sharp is a very good QB and could be A&M's 2014 guy if A&M chooses him. Aggies can pretty much handpick who, if anybody, they want to be their QB in the 2014 class. Personally, he is my favorite TX QB in the 2014 class. F) Kyler Murray has a very good chance of being offered. He is an Aggie legacy, and Sumlin told him personally that they'd be coming after him. His only knock is height, but he's only 15 years old and is likely to grow to 6'0" or 6'1". That would be plenty tall enough. A&M is already his leader, and if he doesn't grow then I'm sure they'd be glad to take him as a slot. Personally, I think he hits the 6 foot mark and takes over from Hill when he graduates.

12. I knew Darrion was a stud. That's why it really hurt not having Howard on the other side. Paul Allen had a good day running the ball for us.
13. Can't make mistakes like that against Brenham. Period. Good win by Brenham. The streak continues......  :-\
14. Montgomery Special teams is killing them. Muffed punts and bad snaps have given Brenham 9 points. Not having Howard is hurting too. That makes Bodhi Bell the only legit threat at WR. Brenham puts Johnson on him and loads the box. Brenham has been playing with 1 high safety or sometimes no high safeties because they don't respect the pass because Braden Bell isn't the athlete that Ken'Dre Howard was. As I already believed, Darrion Johnson is definitely one of the top athletes in the state. He's shutting Bodhi Bell down and is powerful running the ball on offense. If Montgomery stops shooting themselves in the foot, they can come back.
15. WR/P Ken'Dre Howard is out for the next few games. He was the starter at WR and P.
16. Pretty vague assessment. I'm sure they'll go into more detail during the pregame show. And just to clarify, I don't think there's a big advantage between he two run games. I just think Montgomery's is slightly better. The X-factor is Jimmy Dominick. He doesn't get many carries, but he scores or gets big gains on a lot of them. He can bust a big one any time he touches the ball. Very De'Anthony Thomas like in the way he is utilized and his scores per touch and yards per touch ratios. He also comes in to play OLB on occasion.
17. IT'S MOTHERFLIPPIN' GAMEDAY!!!!!!!!  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( P.S. BF, normally we agree on a lot of things, but I disagree with Brenham's run game being better. Bears have consistently ran with success even against #1 Dawson and Top 10 Angleton. Brenham does have the better defense, but I'll take Montgomery's run game over the Cubs.
18. I would almost bet Montgomery will be 5a next time around. The current 7th grade class is HUGE.
19. It needs to be freaking Friday already! My adrenaline has been picking up every day this week! I can't wait any more! I'm ready for GAMETIME!
20. Im sure Montgomery has a bag of tricks for this game too. Always do. I remember a couple years ago when both teams traded onside kicks. Seems like both like to add a couple extra wrinkles for the game. I can tell you from experience that this week has been hell on earth for the Montgomery players. Coaches are on a whole other level of intensity. Starters get almost all the reps and weight room is the hardest it is all year. I thought the coaches were trying to kill us all week just to be sure we could survive the game. 2adays were a cakewalk compared to Brenham week.
21. It's funny how Tyler Bolfing had Ty Schlottmann as his counterpart all 3 years, and now Josh will have Walter Thomas for 3 years.
22. If Johnson plays mainly CB, I expect Ken'Dre Howard to have quite an impact. If Johnson has to play safety, Bell will get some one on one matchup problems that can be taken advantage of. Also if Brenham sells out for the run, TE Christian Kindred could make some big plays out of pro set. He had 2 TDs against Huntsville because they overloaded the box.
