1. Although it will probably cost me Karma I am going to go ahead and say what I want to say and let the cards fall where they may. Wos fans were great, Players showed alot of heart and played a good game. I was suprised we did not catch a penalty on the TD catch but the ref was right there and he did not call it. There was alot of holding that never got called and that laderal was dropped so once again the reffs made mistakes on both sides of the ball. Now heres where I stick my hand in the wasp nest. As much respect those boys (on both sides) and LCM and all of the fans showed. Dan Hooks and all of the coaching staff at WOS should be embarrassed by their behavior. One coach actually ran on the field jumped up and down and through his clip board down. They were on the field screaming most of the game. He would have been ejected from most any other field in the area. His team showed sportsman ship and control where him and his staff did not. There were calls I am sure he did not like and the same for the Cats. IMO he showed very poor judgment on how to handle things when your not happy with how they are going.   Smite me if you want but I think the bad Karma should go on Hooks.
2. That sounds crazy. It is a home game.... and there are two sides to the home stadium. They can do it however they want it just causes problems for big games. Kville always brings a crowd and the circumstances of this game plus a saturday game will bring the attendance way up. We will be there about 4:30. I think its going to take that to get a seat. Just have to bring a pit and tailgait a little. The last time we played Newton in Newton I happened to be working at the school that day. People started showing up at 4:00 and it was standing room only with a line a mile long by game time. I know Newtons stadium is nothing compared to WOS but the crowd should be huge.
3. If you can watch this and not get pumped up you need to get your heart checked! [Hidden Content]
4. Is there no room for common sense? Of course he took him in because he was a ball player. He probably does not go to each student in the school and ask "Are you homeless? Do you want to live with me?" He had to have known and been close to this kid to even find out about his situation.  Maybe he broke a rule. But what is the intent of the rule? Its against the law to speed but if you are taking your wife to the hospital is a cop going to ticket you or escort you there? The intent of the rule is to keep coaches from moving some star player in just so they can play in his program. If that is what the coach did throw the book at him. If he gave a kid shelter and something to eat and that causes him problems shame on the system.
5. It has got to make his Mom proud to know that she raised a son that could bring out so much of the good in people.
6.
This is a game I see Kville winning 60something to 30something... Its pretty hard to stop WP from getting theirs.. QB takes what they D gives him.. 3 yard pass 20 yard pass... He doesnt care.... 3 headed monster for Kville will be to much...
Are you familiar with them?
7. I just want the cats to control those short quick passes that seem to eat us up. The long passes I don't worry about I think we can cover that. Wills Point allows a lot of points every game so Kirbyville should really put some points up on the board.
8. Another spread team. Seems nothing but passing game only 600yard + total rushing yards for their O. What do you think?
9. Thank you Shanna! I knew that it was you that made had the shirts made but I did not want to post your name. I am sure you will be flooded with calls but as you said it is for a great reason. Thanks Again    D.
10. Allbritton has 516yards Laffette out of Dangerfield has 596

12. I have not seen them all so hard to say.  What about Bennett up in Newton?
13. Someone in Kville had T shirts made in honor of #12. I tried to post pics of them but I must be  doing it wrong. Great looking shirt! My family will be wearing thiers to the games this year On front KIRBYVILLE WILDCAT FOOTBALL 2010 ONE TEAM ONE HEART ONE VOICE ON BACK GARRETT   #12
14. Looking at the Stats looks like Wills point tradition is Pass Pass Pass. I have looked on a bunch of the HS football forums and nothing from WP. No trash talk, no intelectual discussions, no statistical analysis, not even any youtube recruiting hype? They sure a a quiet bunch in WP!  Not sure if they will like the pride of Kirbyville rolling into town. Not known for keeping it low keyed!
15. I would have loved to have seen one unified gesture of rememberance but so many people want to express their respects in so many different ways. I cant help but to wonder what kind of comfort it is to his family to see all of the out pouring of love, respect and admiration that all of the surrounding communities are showing. You have a great idea along with so many others.
16. I know that some are being made in Kirbyville to give to fans that want them. Contact Wildcat in pink on this forum she is making them and can tell you the easiest way to get or make one.
17. It can only cause problems when they guess (three different times in one article) at what happened. And if I were them I woudnt ask for cardiovascular imput from Beaumont Bone and Joint. He may be in sports medicine but that does not make him an expert in heart issues especially in a youn man he never examined. I say leave the cause alone until they get a definative answer. Out of respect for the family if nothing else. A lot of people are curious but IMO it's nobody's business untill the Garrett family gets their answers.
