1. I am a 'Cat fan all the way but man.......... Cut them Dawgs some slack. At least until kick off. Jasper game is always worth watching down year or not.
2. The sad thing is that the coaches know the rules and decide to risk getting caught knowing what it will coat the entire team if they do. No player no matter how good is worth destroying all of these young men's hard work and efforts. May be it will turn out to be untrue. Best of luck to all of the LCM team hope it turns out ok for you. Your whole team has shown a lot of class and sportsmanship this season.
3. Thanks Grad. My fovorite time of year is late November and early December when even the Beaumont enterprise has no choice but to give the 'Cats a little love.... No one else left to talk about! ;D ;D ;D

I did not read the dates posted. This is so outdated. Its interesting to see what a difference a few months make but it here for real now no sense in looking back.
I did the same thing kville I wonder where all the posters from this thread are now???Think their opinions might be a little different today.?.?.?......YA THINK ;D
What's the point ?....All the talk you can do in a forum, all the #1 rankings you can have, still won't win you football games..You still have to outscore your opponent. And If your'e good enough,You don't have to blow your own horn....Other people will do it for you.... ;)
The point is being a fan and talking about football. Unless they let you suit up and score a few for the home team all you  are doing on here is doing is talking on a forum.  The point of his post and mine was.... People say alot before the season starts and for all of the trash talk look at where we are now. Compare this old thread (which just got restarted today for some reason?) to the new Kirbyville VS Jasper Thread and you will see a big difference. If talking about it is pointless I guess they should just shut this site down and we can just watch it on the Friday Night Blitz..
5. I think it seems easy to look at stats and think the guy with the bigest numbers must be the best. IMO it is not that easy. For example I am not saying Fred Ford is the best but he is a contender. He has been pulled out for games he could have  doubled his yards and scores in. Weather it was to keep him healthy for later in the season or to keep from running the score up in the name of good sportsmanship he still could have over 1500 yard if they had not pulled him in those games. And he is not the only one by far either. I guess it comes down to who makes they yards and the points when their team needs it to win. If the guy fits the need for his team and has 700 yards he could still be the best. No  good way to  compare apples and oranges. We ve got Ford in Kville and he is a part of what keeps us winning no mater what the stats say.

7. They should change the name of the Enterprise sports section to the PNG scrap book. Kirbyville fans wont get fired up until the 'Cats are still rollin and everyone else is Playing Basketball!
8. Any team can win on any given Friday if not what would be the point of playing. We could just decide who was best the first day and declare a champ. That being said I hope Jasper gives the 'Cats a good game. They had Wills Point, then Huntington then a bye so they need to get sharp because it does not get anything but tougher from here. Kville needs to knock the rust of early. They always seem to play better in the second half but as they get ready for the playoffs they need to hit the ground running at every game. Good luck to Jasper.
9. 'Cats are going to come back rested and ready to tear those dogs up! Its great that Huntington was a confidence booster for Jasper. Kville needs a good game.
10.
Saw Brownwood play last Friday.  The amazing thing is that the other team punted every punt out of bounds and pouch kicked any kickoffs to keep it away from Shipley.  Shipley has returned 6 for tds this year.  Big Spring double and triple teamed him all night and he still caught 6 for over a hundred yards.  I was really impressed.  The other thing that go me was they do not play anyone both ways and suited up over 60 players.
I guess that means that there is yet another team with too much depth for poor little Kirbyville. LOL ;D
11. Ford's stats don't show his true potential this year. Alverez has had to call the dogs offs too manny times. We will see his true ability durring the playoffs.
12.
While I am all for Coach Alvarez playing everyone when the opportunity arises, there can be disadvantages to playing the starters too little.  One, the starters have to keep sharp to be ready to face those in the playoffs which will give the Wildcats a lot stiffer resistance than they look to get in 18-3A play.  Second, you can't just sit the starters down after a few series for what will be three consecutive games after this week and expect them to maintain the conditioning that they will need when playoff foes come-a-callin'.
Great point! I had thought after the game how off the 'Cats could be comming off that game then a week off. I hope they stay sharp! Good to see Vanya at QB even if it was just a short time.
13. I would have liked to have seen some of next years starters get to play but I think the only way it could be done would have been for them to have started from the begining of the game (or at least after the second TD). They could have always put the A team in at any time. In all fairness the seniors have earned their spots and if he had wanted to Coach Alverez could have let them pad thier stats. He made the right choice in not doing that. Big numbers dont mean anything if you have the other guy on his heels backing up. I could not help but applaud for Huntingtons score and that one fumble recovery. They did what they could. Some people would have headed for the locker room 4 minutes into the game. They showed a lot of heart. As for the posted question....... I think it would have been better to let the second string start earlier and mabey it would have been a good game to learn from. But even then it could have been very one sided.  Congrats to Huntington for not backing down and to the Kville fans for giving them your support!
14. Since there seems to be little question about the outcome of the game. Anyone care to make a guess at the Cats stats and score? Ford 200 + Ervine 150 + Haywood 150 + Cucancic 125 + Vanya 100 + Kville more than 50 Huntington less than 10
15. Not long ago Jackson and Irwin were Kirbyvilles BAD running backs. Ford put in the effort and now everyone knows who he is. Hazzelwood was the man and it did not seem like anyone could fill that spot then Jones stepped up. Muskgrove was the man with the magic hands now Cucancic is all over the field. They wanted a place at the table and made it happen.  My point is that the great thing about High School football is seeing these young men work and develop into great players. Star players graduate and fans worry and predictors look into their crystal balls and see doom and gloom to come. Then some unheard of guy makes it happen. Who are your teams young guys that we will all know next year? Who already stepped up and exceeded all expectations? KVILLE Haywood Jacko
16. Game after game you hear about some great 'Cat play makers and even the linemen get credit. I find it strange that our QB does not get much recognition. When Hazzelwood(s) graduated more than a few people thought the Wildcats would be it trouble in the QB position. Jones has done a fantastic job and although he has had the talent on the field with him to make it look easy, his efforts and execution have allowed others to shine. I say step out from some big shadows for a sec Mr. Jones you deserve to be in the spotlight and be recognized! Thank you for all of your hard work and efforts. Great job and good luck in district play and beyond!
17. If Ford or any of the backs can catch, why would n't you hit them for a short pass and get them out in the open where they can do some real damage. I say your right.
18. Hs this been confirmed? It is just terrible. No mention of it in the news that I can find.
19. The WOS QB did an outstanding job under the circumstances. As a matter of fact although he will undoubtably improve next week and in the future plenty of teams would be proud to have him just as he was Saturday.
20. I think it is the "Any given Friday" effect. You never know what any team is capable of on game night good or bad. I think BC supprised  more than a few especially Menard. He is a heck of a QB. I think the Cats gave BC their best just failed to make adjustments until later in the game. When WOS starting throwing those short passes their game started comming together. If they had started that sooner who knows how things could have gone.
21. Unbelievable. It will come out and they will get what they have comming to them.
22. Huntington has allowed 186 points this season and has only put 126 on the board themselves. With the 'Cats comming off of a win they really wanted against a strong WOS  I think The Red Devils are going to have a bad night. Kville 48 Hunt  7
