1. I do think Kirbyville would do well without Ford. Glad to have him. Would not want to lose him. But they are not a one man show at all despite what people might say. As for Menard the young man is a beast and I only wish we had a lower your shoulder head breaker like him. He had a very seasoned Kville looking bad. Obviously someone is blocking for him (not that he needed any help most of the time) Obviously someone catches the pass But he was responsible for 77.5% of the total offense (not a made up %) Plus he was on every special team  May be I spoke too strongly and for that I appologize. He made a fan out of me & I hope he stays healthy and has more success.
2. During the interview with Hooks when the boys come into the locker room the first question they ask is "Are they going to cancel the next game?" These players have real heart and I know that they want to get back onto the feild out of love and respect for their team mate. It has all of the makings of a Hollywood movie but unfortunately it's all too real.
3. The stats prety much sum up how this game is going to be played.... Wills Point 1180 Yards Passing                 635 Yard Rushing (Ford has 664 by himself) Kville 378 Yards Passing       1356 Yards Rushing It should not be hard for the 'Cats to prepare for this one. Just keep your eyes in the air!
4. I know that WOS has to have that first game back at some point and I am sure #12 himself would want them to get right back to it. But from Kirbyville's perspective how can there be any thought of winning this game? How can there be any thought of not giving it 112% and trying to win? WOS was the game I looked most forward to hoping to finaly get a clear win. Now I dont know how to feel. If WOS is not ready and we beat them what would that win mean to us? If we do not respect them and give it all we got what does that win to them? If WOS gives it their all under the circumstance and come up short what does it mean to either team? The only happy ending if you can call it that is for WOS to give it their all and wins a hard fought game in OT like last year. I have to root for the 'Cats but for now can't root against WOS.
5. I do not wish to be their first game back. It would be hard not to root for them even against the 'cats. Seeing them come together as a team would mean more than any win.
6.
I want to start off by saying Kirbyville played a great game and they have something to be proud of in their team. What I continue not to understand is how you all think BC is all about Matt M. he is definetly the leader on the team as he should be most QB's are but if you look at the stats on the game he has a very good supporting cast from his OL to his receivers and everyone else on the team. Everyone has a job to do and if they don't do their job the play is busted. I posted the stats from the game to show BC's supporting cast was just as effective as KV's. This game was won by the one who had less turnovers period not who had the most talent imo the talent level was even KV just happen not to make as many mistakes. Rushing:  Kirbyville, Ford 23-197,              Ervine 8-76, Haywood 11-42, Jones 1-(-6); Bridge City,           Menard 20-148,          Clark 14-89,  Carpenter 1-6. Passing: Kirbyville, jones, 2-7-1 77, Keen 1-1-0 32; Bridge City, Menard, 10-28-3 176, Carpenter 0-2-1 0. Receiving: Kirbyville,    Vanya 2-104,   Haywood 1-5;                Bridge City, Dishon 6-119,  Broussard 3-51, Carpenter 1-6.                       KV   BC First downs     17     22 Rushes-yards    43-309 35-24 Passing            109     176 Comp-Att-Int    3-8-1        10-30-4 Fumbles-Lost    0-0 0-0 Penalties-yards 8-75   3-15
I am sorry I have to respectfully disagree with you.  Stats or not, without Menard BC could not perform at any level. He is a powerful runner and has a great arm anything anyone else got away with was still because of his execution. He passes it, he fakes the keeper or he keeps it and runs it himself. Thats just the way it is IMO.
7. I think it would be great for all of the players to take a knee during the coin toss. You know it will be on so many of their minds and at least they can have a way to honor him. 112%
8. I have spoke to several people and support is growing to remember this young man and what he believed in. Please pass on the following to anyone you can. Please wear or bring signs with 112% on them. #12 was his number but 112% was significant to him beacuse he believed that is what he should always give. I was told he wore it written on his wrists on game nights. Durring the moment of silence / prayer please hold one finger in the air to represent Reggie Garrett's One Team. He can lead not just WOS but all of the teams in SETEX for another Friday night. I would love to see his family and friends see just how many people have been touched by this and want to show their respects.
9. I really do want this to happen. If anyone has a contact, either a coach or school admin. Even better news media please pass the word and then post who has been contacted so we can know who has been covered. If everyone contacts someone a whole lot of people can be in by Friday. #12 One Team!
10. I have someone talking to Kelly's coach and Alverez in Kville on Monday. Isnt one of the moderators from KFDM? Spread the word anyway you can. Any players speak up and ask your coaches to support this.
11. The NFL players are holding up one finger before the game to signify "One Team, one Voice". They are a bunch of spoiled brats kicking their feet and holding their breath. I say we show them the true meaning of the game and what it can be when players, fans and coaches come together. Could be a tribute to true respect sportsmanship and pride people could carry with them forever. Not a bad way to be remembered.
12. I did n't underestimate BC but I did underestimate Minard. They only got control of him in the 3rd. Funny thing though I had a friend from BC at the game and I commented to him how they better keep Menard healthy because he seems to be the whole team. His response was "Looks like Ford is all yall have got." Well I don't know what game they were watching from the visitors side but from my spot it looked like Kirbyville had a lot of weapons to chose from. i know that they use Ford as a constant distraction and people should respect what he might do on any play. But he is far from "all we got".
13. It is obvious that all of the local communities are comming together to show their respect and support after this tragic loss. I feel that something positive should come from it. Reggie Garrett's life was about more than football but he has touched a lot of lives doing what he loved. I believe that next friday night all of the teams in SETEX should be "one team". The young man was a leader and tried to be a positive example. Lets all wear his jersy number on game night players and fans. He can lead one team onto the the field in South East Texas.
14. I tried to find game video on this team with no luck. I hate going up against the spread but after BC I feel the 'Cats can handle it.
15. Menards back should be sore.....He carried the entire BC team all night. He is a great all around athlete and I never thought I'd see one mangive the Cats D so much trouble. Also before the game I watched the BC Kicker warming up kicking FGs from the 45. Heck of a leg. Usually only the losing team compains about the refs but who were these guys? Who regulates them and who do we complain too? When they make (or dont make) calls that could effect the outcome of the game something should be done. I think that there was a thread posted about a crew that stunk up another game with one very old ref. Was this the same bunch? Ford and Roth both got a little hot during the game. Does anyone know if it was related to the officials not calling something? Cucancic had a heck of a game along with several others. Jacko? Where did he come from? Congrats to Ford for breaking the 4000 yard mark?
16. My wife looked up this young mans facebook page last night and I could not believe how mature, deep and profound he was. While most boys his age are consumed by meaningless things he seems to have been unusually thoughtfull. His parent(s) obviously did a fabulous job. Everyone in Kirbyville is praying for his family and all of the WOS team.
17. If the 'Cats can keep the penalties to a minimum I think BC will have a tough night. We can't let the D hold the line and then give up a first down because of a stupid penalty. We cant have TDs called back. Don't make it easy for 'em Cats! Make 'em fight for every yard! Ford, Ervine and Haywood will do their thing no doubt. BC may slow one down but not all three! Tyler and Breed will be bust'n heads you can believe that and Cucancic can make a showing on either side of the ball. Someone already said it but I hope they park Cucancic on Menard all night and lets go for 2 on every TD our kicking is weak.  I think BC will play tough in the first half but if the Cats play smart, tough ball we send them back over the bridge with something red other than their uniforms. Kville more than 40 BC less than 20
18. Here's how that plan went for a few folks before. [Hidden Content]
19. God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference. Not as elegant, but mabey just as fitting tonight
20. Good luck with that. Just remember everytime they key on Ford it just means the others are free to do what they do. Step it up Haywood! ;D
