  1. "Good players may not need h.s. basketball to get noticed, but they need it to learn how to play in a structured offense and defense. AAU forms bad habits.  Good High School coaches dont allow kids to go through the motions. Players need both the h.s and AAU setting to be at their best in my opinion. The AAU system offers great competition and  exposure for the next level ,while the h.s. setting offers coaching, structure, and more responsibility, with having to manage grades, practice, and teamwork. Accountability!!" Depends on who they play AAU for and where they play as well. There are some really excellent programs out there, who teach accountability, manage no pass no play on their team, etc.  I do beleive a player needs HS and AAU ball, both are a great benefit. They need HS for exposure and that diploma, plus teamwork, etc. But AAU has its benefits.

  3. Awesome!  I hope she continues to play.  There are a few teams from here that could use a move in.
  4. I was able to to watch a San Jac basketball game last night. They played Lone Star Kingwood, San Jac won 92-55.  Devin Bray looked good. 12 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 awesome dunk , 3 fouls. Soild defense to help San Jac open it up in the 2nd half, they led by one at the break. It was nice to see Devin out there, and looking good, smiling and having a good time playing a game at the next level. Keep up the hard work Devin, we are proud of you.
  5. Hardin only lost 1 senior
  6. The Bulls Soph, Junior and Senior teams were eliminated this weekend in the 1st round.  The Freshman team won and moves on.  Great job this season Bulls. Keep working and getting better. Go Freshman!  Good luck to the Belles on their cheer and dance competition as well.
  7. We are here.  Trying to figure out how to get them better on defense, the Hardin posters support the team/coaches/admin regardless of wins or losses, we just scratch our heads, and wonder what happened.
  8. I voted again today
  9. Must be a child using the computer.  Lil Reg is very good for his age. he will be good when he gets to high school.
  10. Again,  small children, toddlers, and even breast feeding is appropriate.  Just no coolers, picnics for everyone, or if you must , have it at your car.  IF there is not a rule in place at your league, its all good.  But if there is, please be understanding.
  11. That was sarcasm at its best.    Team snacks and water do not count as bringing in outside food to feed an army.  As far as the rules go. I will abide by them.  If I must have something that I cannot get or cannot afford from the concession stand it is in my car, and I will have it there.
  12. 50  22  hardin  start of 4th
  13. in the TIFI league that the Beaumont Bulls play in it is a League rule for all teams. Some may not enforce it, but it is in the rules.  Things may be different in the leagues here. Someone complained about the concession issue, ask your league to implement a rule if you like.  Youth league for the most part are not for profit, money made at concession goes to help with team costs. There are some teams/leagues that are for profit. I am not talking about those.  Talk to you league board members.
  14. Hardin 28  Warren  14, almost halftime
  15. A mother feeding a young child is way different then a mom bringing a picnic for the family. There are still rules. If you want to feed them what you bring, go out to your car at halftime or after the game. They are not requiring you to purchase anything. I've been there, and have gone out to my car at the half. Just respect the league rules.
  16. Policing people who bring in their own drinks and snacks to little league games is difficult in all leagues.  Some leagues do make money off concessions to pay for the little things.  In the TIFI league, someone either mans the gate coming in, or checks the stands for violators. If found you are asked to take it back to you car, throw it away, or you can leave the field voluntarily or by escort.  Most people comply when asked, but not all are nice about it.  Again, it is a rule that some feel they do not have to abide by.  It is a shame.
  17. Way to go TRENT !!
  18. I did hear that rumor, not sure if its true yet.

  20. I like  " THE Butch SGT"  better    :D
  21. The Bulls also asked for coverage for years.  But I think they did this because its the first time all 4 of the Bulls made the playoffs at TIFI.  Great job to the Bulls and the Belles the cheer and drill teams.
  22. Congrats to the Lady Hornets and Coaches on the win tonight,  one more and get it done.  Dumi and family are proud of ya'll
