It was Hardins 9th and JV combined also. Good game,  Hardin recovered 4 or 5 fumbles from Liberty and did not capitalize on them though. 

How did the Bulls do in the scrimmage over the weekend?  I'm gonna have to get updates when I can't get to the games.  LOL 

I am a very proud BULL nation rep.  I was able to watch the West Brook Freshman scrimmage Friday, and got to see several ex Bulls out there representing.  I did not get to stay for the JV or Varsity, prior commitment.  It was great to see these boys as they have developed, and see their parents all sitting together.  Great job fellas. 

I helped with a local football organization for the last 8-9 years as a team mom, coach, administrator.  Without moms and dads there are very few coaches out there.  I believe we had 4 in the last 8 years who did not have a kid on the team.  Parents who coach their kids are 90% of the time harder on their kid then anyone else, because they don't want anyone thinking they are getting over.  When there is a perceived problem with preferential treatment, the administration of the league should step in to investigate. 

Hardin at Kelly was a good scrimmage.  Kelly looks huge for Private school, really athletic,  #2 #15 and #22 are impressive.  Hardin looked better then I anticipated.  Each varsity squad scored x 2.    Hardin's JV scored twice, I don't remember Kelly's JV scoring.  Very HOT out there today.  Great field.  Good luck to both teams this year. 

A few days ago, I watched an old VCR tape from 1992, pre season talking to Dan Hooks and Barbay about WOS and Newton. Other teams there as well. Great footage.  Two great programs and coaches. 

I went out Friday to check out the Bulls.  They look really great.  If you are a former Bull player or parent, you should go by West brook one evening and check them out.  Things are really improved.  Sgt Rey your team looked sharp out there.  Good luck to the Bulls and Belles this year.  1st home game will be at West Brook on Sept 4th.

Devin's future is now up to him.  Devin go to San Jac and do good for yourself, get your education, and take basketball where it will lead you in your future.  Why would you want to bet against any young mans desire to improve himself?  It wasn't Devin on here pumping himself up about where he was going, it was a poster on the board. Bet against the poster, and who is the next victim to be blown up on any message board, not just this one. 

Congrats to Coach Mitchell from the Dumas family. He also coached the 8th grade boys last year and did a great job! We think highly of Josh.  Your boy will miss you, but we know we will keep in contact. 

I've watched Cleveland play in summer league. Very talented group across the board.  Not alot of defense, but could be its just summer league.  They have size, are quick, great outside shooting.

Games on Mondays at Liberty Middle school Teams:  Barbers Hill, Crosby, Tarkington, Dayton, Liberty, Hardin, Huffman, and a prep academy, not sure which. Seen some pretty decent games so far.  $2 to get in.

Actually saw this happen this year at a AAU game,  MoCity called a timeout prior to the freethrows.  A different better FT shooter got on the line.  The refs caught it right away. The players were cracking up.  Good job by the Ref, of course the crowd recognized it as well and the opposing team.

Boys 8th grade results 1st  Kountze 2nd  Buna 3rd  Hardin saw some upcoming talent at the meet yesterday. Great job to everyone. Nice track at Deweyville.

Kountze 8th grade team had 4 or 5 5'11- 6'0 or taller kids,  athletic, but need a little work. 

another knuckle head posting about overated teams......  Kountze was not over rated,  New Waverly was the better team tonight.  Anyone can be beaten on any day.  Great year Lions.
