Bulls play with TIFI  Texas Intercity Football Inc,  based in the Houston area. They did play in the Long Star league for two years a few years ago, but started with TIFI many years ago, and then returned there.  Sgt the board is really doing a great job and has the teams best interest at heart.  The AD has been there long enough to know about the little bitty rules.  You can always talk to the board and you know where to find me.  There is always a X on beaumont, they hate making that long drive down here.

It is micro managing.  Never know if someone is watching the time you start practice, or who would tell someone.  A couple years ago, someone actually got in trouble from another team for starting too soon.  Another team, 2 yrs ago, in summer before season, would take players he knew would play for him 2 at a time, and do QB/center exchange, and pass routes,  hand offs,  2 kids at each corner of field,  because rule said a coach and 3 players was a practice,  they had to put a stop to that.  We started getting more participation about 2 years ago , every now and then we would have to not start a game on time too.  but I think most of those parents moved on the high school by now.  good luck this weekend.

[/quote] Agreed Starfish.  you stand by your team win or lose.  hardin should have done better last year, key injuries hurt, key players did not play to their potential, it happens.  Hardin is better then i thought they woud be this year, still have some turnovers to overcome, and their are in one of the toughest districts in the state this year.  Good luck to the Hornets, no matter if we place in district or not.

I remember Alan Filer, he as in my sisters class,  outstanding. 

I heard Bmt flag did win over Ktz in scrimmage, not sure about the running over part.  Different Flag team then last year, some of the others moved up, new players etc.  Bulldogs are still in the learning and growing department, but they are improving. Keep up the good work. 

I am a mom and I yell.  My son knows he will get yelled at, some coaches are just yellers, some yell with reason. he also knows, I'll say good job when its appropritae and what the ?/?// were you thinking when it isn't.  As mom I am also there when he needs me to be just mom.   Parents can get in the way if that coach/AD etc allows it to be a problem. Most of the time it is not a problem, and there is always a parent that has something to say to the caoch about playing time.

It was explained to me about 2 years ago, that 8th grade game is to start at a specific time,  as an example I'll use 530pm.  One game the bus driver took a wrong turn, did not know how to get to the old TJ Stadium, players on bus has to get the driver there, they were late for start of game.  7th grade game started and then ended at 5:20,  they played about 1.5 quarters. School night, they don't want middle school kids out late on school nights.  Luckily, my son's team did not have A&B then.  You will not change the system overnight.  At this school, every kid on the team played, most kids got a few plays in. He lost alot of oppurtunity to for knowledge in that year. Luckily he had outside oppurtunitys.  He learned even if you only get 3 plays,  do what you can on the plays you are in there for, make a tackle, catch the ball, create a turnover, positive things, get noticed.  Thank goodness he is in high school now. 

I like Anahuac, Newton and a toss up for 3rd place. I think it will come down to the last game to see who gets out for playoffs. 

Hey Sgt,    Congrats on the win this Sat for your Bulls.  I see it was a clean sweep.  I worked all night and slept all day, missed the games.  Continued success.
