Congrats Lady Pathers and Coaches.

HEART of a Lion!,  This could have turned ugly.  6 FT's or more in a row, on techs called.  Very proud of the leadership I saw on the floor, young ones stepping up, and not allowing the atmosphere take their Heart!  Never give up on yourselves, keep playing through.  I was impressed by this team last night.  Coaches did an excellent job keeping these young men composed, when it could have easily gone bad very quickly.  Zay,  You did your thing.  Keep working hard young man. 

How about lets support all of the local teams, and hope they make it as far as possible?  Different opinions all season about Kountze, from they will be young this season, no size, not as good as previous years,  to the progra, going down year after year,  no Senior leadership.    Kountze has already gone farther then alot of people thought possible.  I am glad to see Zay step up, in crunch time, ... continued success.  Let's go Lions,  COach Joubert do what you do.

yes, they play at Woodville.

I agree EC should have been better.  Carrington is good.  The game I saw EC beat Hardin,  I thought Hardin played horrible, no defense, no energy.  EC will always have the athletes and the mentality of winning.  Deweyville came a long way this year. Coach Mitchell did a great job in his 1st year there. Keep working and believing ladies.

#22 for Woodville is a Beast, awesome player.  The lack at Guard play hurt Woodville, Ie: turnovers.  The press of Hardin ate them up and Woodville was tired at the end. I think it was #1 for Wv a Senior or was it #11, also very good. #13 isn't bad either. WV is young and looked good.  Hardin also had way too many turnovers in the 1st half, and too many reach in fouls,  Move your feet girls.  Too many missed shots,  Hardin came back in the 2nd half playing like they should.  Congrats to the Lady Hornets.  WOS, my bad, my service must have left me in Warren for a min, looks like my text from 3rd quarter and final didn't go through and I didnt realize it till this am.

Anahuac girls this year are not even average.  Hardin and EC were both good, Buna is not far behind this year. The rest were not. 

Not sure about Jason's, unless it was in the parking lot after.  Chick Fil A did deliver to Deweyville for Hardin's game there. 

Lost composure only account for 6 FT's.  One was a foul and then tech on one player in the 3rd, who fouled out,  then another tech on a different player. It did not account for the rest of the 34 FT's, not counting the 6 fouls you doon't shoot on before the FT's start each half.  The refs did call a few bad calls, that went Hardin's way, maybe 3 or 4. and the EC crowd boo'd the ref for it.  But for a team that pressed the whole game, only commiting 8 fouls, the refs just let them play. Alot of jumpers were not shot in the 1st half, excellent defense by Hardin then.  The difference is Hardin did not have a deep bench and it hurt. But the FTs were a huge part. EC did fine FT shooting making 21 of the 34.  Again,  good luck to EC in the playoffs. Hardin is a young team, 3 freshman and 4 soph's on Varsity this year. One freshman started every game, and another started in alot of them.  Keep working, get in the gym. 

True a few Hardin players lost composure.  EC shot 34 FT's, to Hardins 8, would have some lose composure. Not an excuse, they still have to play no matter how one sided the calls were at home.  Good luck to Kountze, Anahuac and EC in the playoffs. 

One more game tomorrow night for district games

Lack of concentration, you have to want to be good at shooting free throws, get the technique down, have a ritual about it. I see alot of kids, just walk up and throw the ball up, or shoot it, miss and not make the corrections for the next one.  It drives coaches crazy.  I know they are taught the fundamentals of a FT, they practice it.  It is a lost art.

Hardin by 6.    But Hardin must come out of the gate ready to go, or EC will take this one.
