I agree wholeheartedly. I remember that game. What a war. Silsbee's football field has gotten better since, the amount of rain was down tremendously last year. But we play soccer on it and that is usually during poor weather conditions as well. Either a new sodding or turf would benefit Silsbee, turf has been mentioned but Silsbee is in the middle of building a new Elementary campus so I doubt it comes soon. All hail the grass.

Errors doomed Silsbee first time around. Look for a different Tiger team at home. If Sundgren is on the bump it could be a long night for the Bobcats, he is looking for redemption and has been on his game. See yall there.

JD was a gamer. Froze Silsbee all night with the curveball and kept them off balance. Had to be 2-1 on the curveball ratio. Thought he was done in the 5th but found some more after the dropped foul ball by Silsbee, JD got an RBI scoring hit on next pitch. Tied the game and he was back in it. WOS' Patterson was stupid aggressive on the base paths, mainly because Silsbee didnt throw to first base not once. Might be the first time I've ever seen that. He was their offense, believe he had 3 hits. Great lead off for the Stangs. Partain was on. Period. Mixing speeds and spotting fastball all night. Impressive to say the least. Dunn with 2 hits and the drag bunt for the winning RBI was spot on. Silsbee small ball was in play all night when needed. Great game and looking forward to the rematch at the Den.

Tough kid. Tough break. God speed on a quick and healthy recovery.

Gonna visit the Ranch tonight and watch JD3 take on the Tigers. Hoping for a good game. Go Tigers. Clawing their way back in one game at a time.

This is gonna sound vague but here it goes... Partain takes the pill tonight and for the most part stays strong for 4+ innings, I have my reasons for this but will leave it at that. Relief Pitching for Silsbee tonight is gonna play a big role. One of the two has to step up big (Dunn or Whitted). Silsbee is hitting better lately with their young squad and if they can give Partain some runs early then Partain can relax and throw easy, thus stays in game longer. Vague I know but still an honest assessment without going to specific. Which is doable. WOS is on a 1st half run for sure. Pitching matchups have setup great for them, that along with solid play has them up front. Good pitching and aggressive baserunning forces opponents into quick play and errors usually follow. WOS has been capitalizing on this while making few key errors of their own. If JD3 is on his game it will be to close to call. Game comes to a head in the 5th. I see it 4-2 or 5-2 either way. Pitching, Pitching, Pitching. WOS #1 vs Silsbee #2, good test for both teams. Going with the Homer call as expected, no disrespect to the 'Stangs so dont waste your time with the jackass remarks. I believe in my Tigers.

Rumor is he has been offered a spot on the staff, of course I'm also hearing that he has been approached by some other teams as well. Again, just the rumor mill around town here which is still trying wrap their minds around the changes happening. -
Congrats K. Barnes, only a matter of time after the athletic ability hit the field. Young man is a beast in the making. More to come. [Hidden Content]

He graduate Lamar University with his Bachelors degree in General Studies with a minor in communication and kinesiology. He also received his Master’s of Science in Kinesiology from Lamar University. [Hidden Content] I would say this was a surprise but I saw it coming. If anyone was gonna come with the new AD/HC from CY Ranch then Allen was a prime candidate. Good young up and coming coach looking for a shot. Of course, still pending approval. Coach Hickman will be fine. No doubts here on that note. -
Still looking for the posts where someone, anyone actually counted out WOS. It was a logical statement, if made, that if you lose your #1 & #2 pitching punch from a state title run that there would be some questions. Now that that is said... When you do well first half of district (WOS) you will get attention and coaches will act accordingly in the second half (Silsbee 2015) and pitching matchups change. Hitting as a whole has been hit or miss this year. Lots of good pitching from all the teams. WOS is still a talented ball club so those that feel that someone has slept on WOS then wake up. Only a few on this board has even remotely tried to speak against the Mustangs chances. Support your team and lets watch this District unfold. MANY have said that it was going to be exciting.

Things are changing in Silsbee as we speak. Team will look and play different than this years team. Unusual for our sports scene to change so abruptly. Seems a little harsh. Hang on tight Silsbee fans. -
Lady Cardinals win 2-0. Good team. Silsbee has great potential but need to cut down on the errors. Would have been much closer game.
-
LCM is 3-0. Silsbee is 1-2 in district. Another loss in district puts Tigers up against the wall.
-
Come on man, way over the top. Show me. I believe that most comments were stating that it would be a very competitive district. From all school posters.
