Misdirection to new topic since the last argument fell apart. Generally, Silsbee goes a "few rounds" in most of the sports. Of course that will never be enough until a championship. How will we live with ourselves... Oh yeah...I remember. Lol.

Unless rules of play have changed which is possible... Believe that the fielder has to be able to make reasonable first chance play on the ball. Umpire even acknowledged the ball hit him in front of the fielder. Batter safe and FC was effected because of it. Prob should have worded it differently. JMO

Smh, it meant enough. Regional Finals. True enough that defense was a big issue, but I'll take Ws over Ls any day. In the end you still need SOME offense and not having a good enough offense (enter most of the teams who lost to Silsbee here) to overcome a poor defense, well you don't get the Ws, thus ending the argument stated above. Keep breathing the WOS air, but at least their argument for the better QB and team can be a valid argument. There is always next year.

Silsbee wins 13-1 FR Braylee Forse with the complete game win 6 IN, 7 H, 4 K, 1 R SR B. Root (4-4, 2 DBs, HR, 6 RBI) & SR R.McClain (3-4, DB, Walk, HR, 2 RBI) led the way. Lady Tigers w/ 4 HRs (Root, McClain, Smith, Montgomery) Lady Tigers continue on their Pre-District run, move to 11-3 on the season.

We get it. Conversation is old. Some WOS posters did not recognize the Tigers achievement and that is that. However, Until Navasota loses to Silsbee, the District advantage is theirs by record and achievements with recent State Titles. A legit program no doubt.... but I like the Tigers chances.

Won't be much deliberation here in Silsbee. Coach's with McGallions tenure most likely had a succession plan in place. It makes for an easy transition for the kids as well as the community, in general. Silsbee will be fine.
