Maybe .. first two games and understanding that secondary might struggle... 5 Sacks 14 TFLs Inside the 20 the Tiger defense gets tight as that LB Corp doesn't have to worry about drop coverage as much. Once that young secondary recognizes that that front seven can handle the run game they will get better on pass defense. Better not hold on to that ball very long. I also know that there will be better passing teams by talent but blocking a front seven that can ALL get after it for 4 qtrs due to depth? Jmo

Broussard came out the gate hot so Im expecting a small step backward for the SOPH QB. Not a dig, just my opinion. Gimme HF 28-26 with a key stop for 2 point conversion in this game.

Sorry for the delay. Varsity 1s Ended 1-1 in the controlled portion. 2-2 in the Game Situation Orangefield w/ couple big plays on Silsbee secondary. Silsbee w/ couple controlled drives. Good ground game.

Tigers Second set nets squat as the Bobcat defense stiffens. Bobcat offense up next. JV scores on slant play after big pass down field. That's the end of the JV/Freshman scrimmage.

Orangefield Offense both Freshman & JV net no scores Crossed the 50 one time. Both Tiger team defenses look solid in this scrimmage. Especially run defense.

Silsbee starts on Offense 12 Play series JV - 0 Offense moved the ball on a series of roll out passes and outside runs but stalls inside 20. OrangeField defense holds but just barely. Good interior defense but struggled on the edges. Freshman - TD Offense with complete dominance. Passing and big outside runs. Was driving for the another score when series stopped. Orangefield defense gives up several big runs on the edge and can't cover the flats which shows on multiple out route completions.

Man the hints just keep coming....

Solid run game inside and outside w/ downhill action. BC defense not bad early but once Tigers got a rhythm in run game they couldn't stop them. BC offense never got comfortable with good pressure from dline. Jmo

BC found a little rhythm on 3rd possession but another "sack" from Walker and a dropped pass stalls the drive. Silsbee 3rd possession ends in punt. Johnson throwing off back foot almost results in pick. Edge rush by BC forcing Johnson into rushed throws 4th possession Silsbee 14 Plays / 70+ yds 4 First Downs ends in FG Johnson settling in w/ electric plays Silsbee RB depth has solid future. BC 3 and Out Tough running with no gaps available Silsbee LBs knocking down passes and filling up passing lanes. Several near picks

BC has some questions at QB for sure but special teams looks solid so far on kicking side. Defense keeping Johnson in pocket for now.

Silsbee 2nd Possession First down /Punt Followed I believe SO Carter Howard taking first team RB snaps so far. Good first step with downhill contact. Seems to have a taste for the game. Defense forces punt.

Silsbee 3 and out on 1st possession. Silsbee defense forces 3 and out. Walker making his presence known.

Many options. You won't see a #1 in my opinion. If someone blows past expectations it will be obvious. Regardless of outside opinions the Tigers aren't always a run first offense.
