And big ups to Carson Raines who commanded his team and made big play after big play late in the game while limping across the field and what looks likes a sprained left wrist. Great effort!
Was he walking on his hands?
 2. Great news to hear. He needs to be careful with that injury, since there is ACL damage. You can actually stretch your ACL to the point that it no longer serves its purpose....just as bad as a tear. He needs to strengthen his quads while he is rehabbing his knee...this will give him more stabilty and take some stress off the ACL. I am sure his doctor told him this, but for you players reading this, this is why strenght and conditioning is so important. You can lessen your chances of injury by strength training. All that being said, even with great conditioning, football puts stresses on your body that it isn't designed for and injuries still occur. Anyway, great news and good luck to this young man this season
I didn't intend anything negative in my post. There was discussion before about Merka and there were people saying he was gonna play QB. Me and badndn both said they would move him somewhere because of his size and athleticism. I wish him the best of luck.
 4. hey bad....we were both right on this one. Great athlete, just not a D1 QB.
Missouri Valley College, NAIA School...battling for the back up spot...
I wish him the best of luck! When he wins the starting job it is gonna be a heck of a road trip for you.
Sounds like Vidors in trouble this year
Yeah, because Lumberton is going to be a powerhouse again. ::)I would be surprised if Lumberton wins two games in district. People need to realize that teams don't gameplan for scrimmages and the most to be taken from them is getting your kids the chance to get some action against another team. Now, I am not saying Vidor is going to be great this year, I know nothing about them, but I don't think you can make a judgement after one scrimmage.
:o :o UIL investigation pending.  :D
Mr. Garrity, Why would you make such a statement? Are you saying it tounge in cheek?  ??? To impune Coach Dale's & Coach Jueburt's integrity, even jokingly is offensive to me. Yes, I live in Kountze and a lot of people here want our entire athletic dept. to grow and succeed, to the point that the community made a sweeping change to the school board majority for these changes and several others to be made. The others are discipline and academics. Your comment is completely inappropriate UNLESS you have some proof, in which case you should turn it over to the appropriate authorities. We are trying to build up our ENTIRE school system, academics and extracurricular activities and there are enough haters and opposition to this effort as it is, Oh, are you part of that crowd?  >:( ??? :-\
Good grief !  Lighten up, bearcat.
No kidding. I hope you don't get a nosebleed on that high horse you're on.
 9. 2012 will not be a good year for PNG to play Memorial.
4.4 right?
The question is whether LCM will commit to running the ball witth the RB position. They certainly didnt the past two years. Dont get me started again
Lol.   Hey, I just put what DCTF has him listed at. 5'9"   170   4.4 40 time
We all know how accurate Mr. Cambell is.    ::)
Alex Sezar is a legit 4.4 guy, really shifty and quick, expecting big things
12. Is there a way to donate...an address or account set up? Wont be able to make it there, but would like to contribute.
 13. I can't wait for the season and the "Saturday morning headlines" threads!
 14. When Haggequist(sp?) was QB Vidor spread it out and threw the ball around. Maybe he has gone to the Slot T because he thinks that is what fits his personnel best with the talent he has had the past few seasons......Haggequist played fairly recently. I agree with bigdog, Matthews is very respected by the coaches in this area and has done a good job at Vidor. Vidor football was pretty dismal before they hired Matthews. They have a lot better program now than they did for decades before he got there. Just my two cents from an outside observer.
 15. 275? Dang!  :o It will be a HUGE transition from 8th grade football to varsity ball for him, especially playing offensive tackle and the technique he will have to play. May be easier to plug him in at D tackle and let him eat up space.
 16. Don't give him any more info....he sounds like a coach! Let him watch film of the scrimmages. ;D
 17. He looked awful good at the M&W game for a kid that should have been getting ready for his senior prom. He just has a certain poise about him. I was impressed that he did as well as he did with only being in CS for a short time. Joeckel looked pretty good too, but Johnny Boy definitely looked the best of the backups. I hope Sherman gets him some snaps this fall and he builds on that during next spring and is confident and ready to take the reigns next fall. Him and Trey Williams will be a dynamic duo in the Ags backfield for years to come.
 18. Congrats! I am glad the next game you play you will be wearing purple! I definitely didn't want to see you against my purple again. You gave us fits. Congratulations on a great HS career and I will be pulling for you to have a great college career.
 19.
Anybody wanting to fire Larry Neuman is crazy.  Hes the best coach in the area.  If he had players like PNG and Central he,d win district every year.
Wow! What are you smoking? PNG does not have great athletes like Central, to compare the two is ridiculous. PNG and ned's athletes are comparable. The difference is PNG has the coaching to run the wide open, no huddle offense. Putting 3 or 4 wide outs and running out of the shotgun doesn't make you a spread offense. Look at where the PNG offensive coaches have come from and where the" home grown" ned coaches come from. PNG has coaches that have the coaching background to run a spread type offense, ned coaches don't.
 20. So...you are a OU recruiter? Well, then I am Urban Meyer and I am even looking at PNG's junior football players and may offer some talented 12 year olds and lock them in now. Give me a break! I know Manvel is talented, but there is no way Oklahoma is looking at 2nd teamers on ANY team. OU only recruits the cream of the crop of HS athletes. It would be rare for 12 players on one team to be D1 players, much less 3 or 4 backups being recruited by by OU, who anually recruit in the top 5 in the nation. Nice try, but you should pose as something else next time.
 21. There has been a lot said about respect or lack of respect for these 2 teams. It really doesn't matter if a team's FANS respect an opponent ornot. I can guarantee you that Coach Faircloth and the Indians know what a high quality team Manvel is and have a lot of respect for their talent. I am sure the Manvel staff and team did not come this far by blowing off their upcoming opponents. I expect a hard fought, close game that will come down to the very end. I am hoping that the  experience we have in all the close games we have played will benefit us and give us confidence that we can make the plays we need to at the end of the game to come out on top. I hope everyone from both schools  travel safely and that their will be no injuries. Since we are taking roll...I am a nomex wearer too.
 22. I just got tired of your negative posts about PNG, that's why I said what I did. You have said some personal thing regarding PNG and its fans, so I guess it is fair game. Personally I couldn't care less what you think about us, just got tired of reading your crap. Most people pull for the area teams and put aside rivalries, most adults that is.
 23. Soulja, thanks for the kind words. I have always enjoyed you on this board, you have good insight and have made me laugh more than a couple of times. ;D I want you to know that this Indian was pulling for the Jags with all my heart Friday night and I was sick that it ended for ya'll like it did. PNG and Central have developed quite a rivalry over the past few years, but there has also been a lot of respect developed between the two. I know there were A LOT of Indians pulling for ya'll. Thanks for your support and to all of those in 20-4A that are supporting the Indians!
