1.
For the other 2 plays in your 12 play playbook?  :P :P :P :P :P
You mean the 12 plays they used to kick the crap out of Crosby last year? SC hasn't stopped Vidor, Vidor has stopped themselves with turnovers.
 2. SC it is.... I didn't mean that your kids would take them lightly, they seem to well coached to do that. What I meant is when you watch film you don't get a real feel for a team. Vidor is a lot quicker on defense than they show on film and they are a very physical team, even though they aren't very big. I am going to try to make it out to Deer Park to see this game. I think it will be a good one.
 3. You made the right decision. I have so many family memories at HS football games that can never be replaced. Cherish every moment with your dad, I sure wish I still had mine wih us. Thanks for sharing a story that I know touched me and others on this board.
 4.
Im telling you I have seen these boys in person unfortunately and they are huge and fast...that's why all the posters that are saying how good they are are the ones who have seen them play....you Nederland and vidor posters haven't seen them in person...but you will see what we are talking about Friday.
I have seen them in person too and I think Vidor will hang tough with them. They are big and athletic, but Vidor's scheme and tough, hard nosed brand of football will challenge any team. Vidor needs to score early before SC gets settled in against that offense and cause some havoc with their blitzing, stunting defense and they can come away with a W. I think SC will be surprised what a tough, quick, hard hitting team that Vidor brings to Deer Park Friday Night. Go Pirates!

This will be about the best team period.
Come on Lions #80...you know that teams never just get beat by a better team when it comes to message boards. It's the stupid coaches or cheating referees every time! Ozen has a good coaching staff...get over it uandme08.

Would like to know the resulting factor on the decision.
Why?
Exactly. Why would it matter to a ned fan? Kids make mistakes and if they do what they are asked they can earn another chance. I guess you would rather that a kid who makes a mistake just be thrown away and kicked out of a postive environment like athletics. After last year, being from ned, you live in a awfully big glass house to be throwing stones!
 7.
I remember in 1992 when Silsbee beat y'all in the regular season and then in the playoffs.
Are those the only two times Silsbee beat PNG? I sure can't remember Silsbee beating PNG since then....20 years ago.
 8.
Where did Lutrell go?
PNG
 9. If PNG were to fire Coach Faircloth over losing to what looks to be an extremely tough Ned team, it would put PNG football back 20 years. As well-respected as BF is by coaches statewide, we would have trouble attracting top notch candidates to take his place after screwing him over. There is no scenario this year that would warrant him being fired. I expect this year's team to be Faircloth's least talented team since he has been here. The senior class lost every game in 8th grade with the exception of PN beating Groves and lost every game as freshmen. I am not bad mouthing this group of young men, as I know they work hard and are a bunch of good kids, but we all know that there are years where the talent is better than other years. I expect PNG to be in the race to get one of the four playoff spots due to being well-coached and having a bunch of good kids that are sold out for PNG Football. We have to overcome turnover on the coaching staff and a very young and inexperienced group at the skill positions. For this subject to even be brought up shows the ignorance of certain members of the community.

The Vidor fans stop talking about Vidor and yall can't take it so yall gotta start a thread yourselves. Wow. SMH.... ::)
i was thinking the same thing.
Gotta love it when a non-vidor fan starts a thread about Vidor.  8)
lol. especially when it's an indian. ;D
Actually the PNG fan who started this thread was not being a jerk. It is the ned fans that started the crap talking...imagine that. ::)
 11. Back to the subject of the thread.... I think the dogs will be the team to beat in 20-4A this year, but state champions? COME ON MAN!!!! Unless y'all were hiding some big time offensive weapons from the world last season, the dogs won't make it past the third round. Just my "two cents".  ;D
 12. raidernaytion....If you sat down and shared your "knowledge" with the Lumberton coaches or any varsity coach  it would take you about five minutes to realize how much you don't know. That goes for anyone who has not coached the game at the varsity level. The level that these guys know the game and the terminology they use would blow you away. They could educate you on the difference in run oriented offenses...the Wing T and Slot T are NOT the same offenses, even though to your "trained" eye they seem to be. How about supporting your team and coaches instead of showing your butt. I hope you don't have a kid on the team, because if you do, I am sure you have poisoned him with your negativity toward his coaches. If you would talk to coaches in our district they would tell you that Lumberton has a good coaching staff and that your teams are well-coached.
 13. Tigersvoice...Coach Brown is coaching at OZEN. I don't see how Bobcat 55 having fond memories of his coach has anything to do with hyping the 2012 H-D football team. Either your reading comprehension skills are at pre-school level or you are just a miserable person. Good luck to Coach Brown and his son( hopefully a future Ag) this season.
 14. I wonder if his brother will go with him...that will really get the coaching carousel turning.
 15.
Football players know this.  At the games, former players are not the ones making noise when we are on offense. Apparently, we could help them in not being ignorant.  Just information for those who don't know. Go Dogs!
I agree. People do this at PNG and it drives me crazy. I have mentioned this on the  PNG site and got the same ignorant responses as you got from diego cruz. Most people who have played or have some football knowledge understand this.
 16.

are you guys really having a serious conversation about kids transferring for athletic purposes only...isn't that illegal?
It's only illegal if coaches influence a athlete to move to a different school... the kids parents can weigh options all day long and move to a better fit for an athlete not illegal. correct me if i am wrong someone.
You're wrong.  If an athlete is found to have changed district for athletic purposes, whether they were recruited or not, they must sit out one year from the time that they transferred.
That is one of those things that would be hard to prove, but if the district comittee they move to votes to make them ineligible, they get messed over. Personally, as long as a kid doesn't transfer within the district I think it should be allowed. The reason I say this is because the coaches from the other schools are likely to vote against a kid who can help an opposing team.
 17.

We had well over 200 fans that's a huge stadium, but it wasn't the normal showing mainly because a huge core of our fans work shift work, and can't go watch a football game on a Thursday night, unless they have a kid.
Shift Work?? Yeah right and nobody from this area works shift! Did you not notice the chemical plant and refinery that were right behind you last night...They were still running! Didn't shut'em down for the football game.  ;D
Exactly! I have begged, borrowed, traded shifts, burned vacation over the years to make PNG games. What a lame excuse! Vidor fans have always supported their team win or lose. Over the years I always remember them showing up to support their school.
