southpaw...i guess you didn't read any of my post where i was complimentary of Willis. ??? The only thing I said about coaching was in response to HUM398 saying that your coaches got outcoached. I don't give a crap who had how many seniors, Willis definitely had better all around athletes. Our kids made the plays they had to make when they had to make them to win the game. MY OPINION is that our kids are just flat out FOOTBALL PLAYERS. Take the compliments I gave you in my first post and try to leave here graciously, unlike your last few posts. Go whine on your message board about you wanting our band to respect your band playing your school song AFTER the game, when your fans didn't stand for ours BEFORE the game.......OH, that's right, you don't have a message board!

southpaugh....You have a very talented team. They brought it big time and will be a handful next year. I won't get into name calling. Your team did come out after ours and did taunt our sideline and fans before the game. I think your coaches had them so jacked up for us and had them in a frenzy against anything PNG and I think that spilled over into some of the unsportsmanlike stuff. No big deal, just kids selling out physically and emotionally and that's what you want from your kids, they just have to keep it under control. I agree there was some "chipiness" on both sides, but hey, play to the echo of the whistle, I am cool with that. As far as our band playing during your school song AFTER the game, we ALWAYS play Cherokee after the game....Why should we defer to you? We could complain that you played your school song while we were playing Cherokee....No disrespect meant by either side, let it go. Talking to some kids that were on the field, Nelson did catch that ball, had his arm under the ball the whole way. Looking at you roster, ya'll have a lot of kids coming back and should be a force to be reckoned with next year. Congratulations on a successful season and good luck next year.

PNG played Willis in 2003 playoffs in Conroe and won pretty easily. Unfortunately, Gohlke(rb) was hurt late in that game and we lost the following week to Waller at Robertson Stadium by 1 point. Welcome to the board south paugh and thanks for giving us some insight into your program. Ot is nice to have an intelligent, adult conversation on this board. I have heard Willis has some athletes, especially on offense. We don't have elite speed at any position, but our skill guys all have respectable wheels. Sounds like this one may be a shootout. I am hoping we can get a few stops and grind the clock with the running game some. I hear that Willis strikes quick, so maybe we can keep y'all in front of us and force y'all to sustain drives. I have seen way too many shootouts this season and I don't know if my ticker can take too many more!  ;D those games are fun to watch when its not your team, but nerve-racking when it is. Y'all have a safe trip to and from The Butch and I highly recommend the smoked turkey legs!

Look guys, cut blocking is legal, submarining o-linemen to keep them off your LB's is legal, hitting someone away from the play before the whistle blows is legal...it's called FOOTBALL. Great, hard hitting game, but it's over now. A lot of things go on down on the field and emotions and tempers run high. I am sure the players aren't still sitting around whining about what happened. PNG is getting ready for Willis and BH is starting off-season to get ready for nect season. Great, hard hitting game and both teams should be proud of the game they played.

I love Kirbyville. Great team, fans and coach. I guess I should have said I am supporting all SE Texas teams. I have friends that have some relatives playing for Kirbyville, so I have been a fan for years. I hope to make one of y'alls playoff games. I hope this is the year y'all win it all. I was sick for y'all last year, losing State, I really thought the Cats would win. Your community has a lot to be proud of.

(the safety was on a snap that went over the punters head) That means they put up alot of points in the second half, but do they really want to get in a second half slugfest with Brenham.  I wouldn't think so.  Brenham makes second half comebacks against teams along the caliber of Angleton, Dayton, Tivy and Stratford.  That's a little different than doing it in a 9-0 game that your already winning, against New Caney.  Explosive perhaps, but not explosive enough to play with Brenham.  I can't wait to get the playoffs going.  Good luck everybody! I was responding to an ignorant post about us staying home and playing. I think The Butch is a awesome place to play and have never said anything to the contrary. We do pay a rental fee and BISD benefits from concessions vs having the game at PNG where they would make NO MONEY off the game....that was my point. It is funny to see how people jump to conclusions and take the ball and run with what someone said, especially when you throw a jab at PNG in the process. There are a lot of PNG fans, including me, who will be there Friday to support the Jags, so I am not sure what's up with the attitude towards us. Stop being so defensive...GEEZ!
