Doty, Gonzales and Green have all had great seasons. Gonzales and Green account for most of their team's offense. If we didn't have such a good ground game with Bertrand, I am sure Doty would be putting up even bigger numbers.

LCM @ Nederland / Predictions
ndnsrock44 replied to adminbaberuth's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
I agree that LCM's offense is going to get their yards and points. ned is not going to shut down LCM's offense. ned will score on LCM's defense. it will probably come down to a key turnover or drive killing penalty to decide the game. For all you ned fans pointing to the past, that has NOTHING to do with this season. LCM is a very talented and well-coached team, that never quits. I am sure people were talking about how ned always beat Lumberton in the past a couple of years ago and got slapped by Lumberton. I'm not saying that will happen, i have gotten out of the business of predicting games in 20-4A this year! But don't expect LCM to roll over just because ya'll are nederland. -

By a very complicated and unlikely scenario, PNG,LCM and ned could end up in the playoffs, but in that scenario PNG would be the #1 seed in D2. -
central will win y 4 tds png will claim they were resting for playoffs
Your screen name speaks volumes and explains why you would post something ridiculous. i have picked at Soulja about resting the starters, but i would really like to see them play and see what happens. i think it will be another barn burner.

Pngfan66 and shovelhead...great posts. It is nice to see people acting like adults on this thread for a change.

dogs1988...You are right. I don't know why all the attacks on this board. All of these kids, football players, band, twirlers, cheerleaders, drill team, etc.all work hard and whether or not I am for one team or another I respect thier efforts. Tappedout is probably just trying to stir the pot and he probably will be as impressed as anyone by Vidor's halftime show. I have always enjoyed it and so do my kids, it is a lot of fun to watch. I am sure both PNG and Vidor are gonna bring it Friday night and I expect a good, hard fought game by both teams. Let's not insult each others kids and traditions just because someone tries to piss you off on this board.

Do not count on that happening again. Crosby wins that game 9 out of 10 times. BH is much improved on defense and will win easy against any of your teams. Dayton owns you. That three guaranteed wins. The only question will be the fourth spot but the brooms are ready.
Man there is a whole lot of stupid on this board.
Reeeaaallly? PNG gave Crosby a 38-7 beatdown. How do you figure Crosby would win 9 out of 10? It's not like PNG scored late on a lucky play to win the game. That game was never in question. Dayton will advance, but I predict 20-4A will go 3-1 in the first round. The only brooms y'all will be breaking out are the ones to sweep of the basketball court, because football will be over for three of your teams. -

It won't be any different this year.
Yeah BH is always running their heads about 19-4A and have only big brother Dayton to back them up. Funny how Dayton does their talking on the field. -

Hey Coop....Are these stats from the PA News? I have noticed the stats differing from different news sources. I have wondered where the "official stats" come from. I know the penalty yardage is off for PNG. We had a facemask, personal foul, 15yd pass interference, holding and at least two illegal formations that I can think of off the top of my head. That is 65 penalty yards right there and we may have had more, those stick out because they were at critical times in the game and cost us. Not that it matters in the grand scheme of things, just curious. Also, hats off to LCM. They played with a lot of heart and effort. That offense kept me scared to death all night...very explosive and talented. Coach Crouch has done an excellent job over there and obviously the kids have bought in. Good luck to LCM in your next two games, I hope ya'll win them both. -

Ya'll need to wrap up the district against Lumberton. That way you can rest your starters the next week for the playoffs. Heck, you may even want to suggest to your coaches that they move up the JV and get them some varsity experience! ;D
IN OTHER WORDS, you want my Jags to let you in the playoffs, right? :D :D
Well golly, I didn't even realize ya'll were playing us after Lumberton.(said in my most innocent voice.) I was just concerned about the Jags being healthy for the playoffs. ;) -

Brenham fan..my point was that it is none of your business what we pay our coach. Also, I was being sarcastic. Of course West is a good coach. You can't judge a coach by a call or two. Crouch has turned LCM around, but he screwed up right before the half by throwing short of the endzone with no timeouts left. That doesn't make him a bust. -

Being indoors doesn't make your kicker's leg stronger, he is coming back from ACL injury and doesn't have the same leg as last year. Also, I am pretty confident that Coach Faircloth and his staff know their kicker better than anyone on this board. Even in the NFL they watch the kicker in warmups and know what they are comfortable with distance wise game to game. Your coach made a bad play call on 4th and one in the state championship game, inside the 10 and down by 7 in the 4th quarter. So I guess he is a bust? Fairloth is the reason our offense has been incredible and this is only the 2nd year of these kids running his system...hardly what I would call a bust. Also, while I am ranting...Why do you care how much he makes? Do you pay taxes to the PNGISD all the way in Brenham? -

Saying he is a bust is harsh. We won the game and that's all that matters at this point. We obviously still have issues on defense. That said, I probably would have went for the FG there as well.
Maybe a "bust," was harsh, but its ridiculus. This is what cost yall the game against GP. (this FG would have been alot shorter too)
Well genius I guess you missed the fact that our fg kicker missed at the same distance as what the GP FG would have been by 5 yds tonight, then missed again 5 yds shorter after offsides. If we get the yard, the game is over. If we miss the FG, they get the ball on the 20. Make it and its still a one possesion game and we kick off into the wind. I go for that yard every time. LCM had not stopped Bertrand all night, so that is the best call. You have a great team, worry about them. I really don't give a crap what you think about Faircloth or PNG. -
Ambres without a doubt.
If they still use the points differential against the tied teams with a cap, then as of today PNG would be 3rd and Liv 4th. PNG +9 (+16 Lumb, -7 Liv) Liv +5 (+7 PNG, -2 Lum) Lum +1 (+15 Vid, +2 Liv, -16 PNG) Vid -15 (-15 Lum) So why was there a coin flip in a IHOP a few years back to decide who went?
That year PNG, nederland and Ozen were tied for second and only 3 teams went to the playoffs, with Central winning the district. Ned had beat PNG and Ozen beat ned....PNG and Ozen did not play due to the revised schedule, so the point differential system could not be used...thus the "infamous" coin flip.

NO! Ya'll are all wrong! baddog is the only one on here that knows anything about PNG's defensive struggles. Most people know that defenses are designed for the d-line to take up blocks, freeing the linebackers to make plays...at least people with any football knowledge. baddog takes this as an insult to nederland's o-line, which is not what tappedout or anyone else has said. Everyone gives them credit, they did a great job. Get over yourself baddog, you look foolish. The tape doesn't lie, we need more aggressive play from our LB's and with some changes and getting back one of our LB's will hopefully do the trick.

Thanks Sgt. Rey. I have been out of the loop lately...how is your boy doing? Will he be healthy enough to play after the bye?

I am copying and pasting an e-mail that I received this morning. It is amazing how God can let us know how blessed we are. This morning I was feeling sorry for myself, the I opened this e-mail and was reminded of how fortunate I am. If anyone can help this family, I know it will be greatly appreciated. I know that even though we may be rivals on this message board, this community comes together when people are hurting and in need. Thanks. We are planning a Home Makeover/Community Love Offering at the Wardlow House on Saturday, October 2 at 8:00 AM. The address is 1030 Wilson Street; Port Neches. If anyone can donate financial assistance, paint, supplies, carpet and carpet installation services, sheetrock, sheetrock repair services, landscape services, or foundation repair services, please contact any of us listed below. Ron Wardlow (Reece and JC Wardlow’s Dad) passed away last week after a long battle with cancer. Mary Wardlow (Reece and JC Wardlow’s Mom) passed away from cancer last year. Reece Wardlow is a freshman at PNG High School. JC (Reece’s older brother) and Charlotte have lost both of their parents in the past 2 years. Their twin daughters (3 years old) will not grow up with any grandparents at all. We will begin the day with prayer at 8:00 AM at the Wardlow home. All help in any way will be greatly appreciated. Please try to car pool and respect the neighbor’s property when parking. We will begin removing the furniture (Bring pair of work gloves) and temporarily store it in a Pod donated by Donna and Jerry Wade. The carpet will be removed from the house and the walls and ceilings will be wiped cleaned prior to kilting and painting. When the painting is done, Brian McClain will be donating an Ozone treatment to completely disinfect the home. The outside work will consist of mowing, trimming, weeding, cleanup, landscaping, and removing debris for disposal. Those of you that have yard tools that want to participate, please bring appropriate tools. Drinks and snacks will be provided by the PNG football coaches and their families as well as others that choose to bring and share. When we complete the home makeover, it will provide a fresh and comfortable home for JC, Charlotte, Reece and the twins. Great post TITAN POWER. I remember how bad I hurt when I got home from moving my son off to college. I can't imagine what his parents are going through now. When I saw a picture of his dad in the Bmt Enterprise, wearing a WOS hat with Reggie's name and number, I broke down. I remember how proud I was of my son when he played and still have my hat with his name and number. I will continue to pray for the WOS community, especially his family. Only God can provide peace when a tragic event like this happens. I know that He will wrap the Garrett family in His loving, comforting arms and see them through this. -
I am sure that if we missed the FG you would all be griping about"why didn't coach trust his offense to get 3 inches." I would take my chances on 4th and inches every day of the week and twice on Sunday. This is a High School kicker. A 38 yard FG is no chip shot. We already had one bad snap on the previous FG and SEVERAL bad snaps in the Memorial scrimmage. We also missed a FG against Memorial from about the same range. Why didn't we go for two? Simple....it was in the THIRD QUARTER. You don't start chasing that extra point that early in the game...If it would have been half way through the 4th quarter, then yes, go for two. Hindsight is always 20/20. We have an excellent coaching staff and I trust that they know a hell of a lot more about football and their players than we will ever know. All that being said, I trust the 4A Coach of the Year's judgement over Monday morning quarterbacks that get on this site.

This thread was started by a Ned fan, not PNG fan. We are very proud of our stadium and hope that visiting fans enjoy our facilities. I know that ya'll are proud of your new stadium and you have a right to be. Because what I have seen of it, it looks like a fantastic stadium. I am looking forward to going to at least one game(PNG vs Ozen) this year. Lets leave it at that and not turn this thread into something ugly. I have a lot of respect for Central's football program and I would hope you have the same for PNG's...Peace.
as soon as the PNG guy chimed in and cracked a joke about the stadium (go back and see for your self), I fired back... A jab for a jab... I have a PN-G fan whom I talk to on the phone all the time..So I do respect the Indian program... I think you have me wrong.. Not being a jerk.. Maybe you need to losen up a little.. Now if you Don't Want me cracking on PN-G, I suggest you tell your fellow fan not to crack on Butch stadium.. No harm taken, though...
Its called taking the high road. That is what I am suggesting. There is plenty said on this board that i could flame people for, but I don't. If you red my post I started by saying I respect you and most of your posts. BrenhamFan...What is this your business? Guess what? I was pulling for Central in that game, like I stated, I respect Central. I also respect Brenham's program...You should respect PNG after last year even though we lost to ya'll.
