  1. vp93...Cherokee is in these kids blood. It has been many a year since I played, but when I hear Cherokee I want to get in the game. Of course, I would only last one play and they would have to carry me off the field! At PNG it is the whole tradition that is behind these kids. I wouldn't expect you to understand it. It is something you have to be part of.
  2. Razor... You stole my post! Finally, we can agree on something. I know Dugat is a good back, but I don't know that Dayton can go through a brutal distrcit like we are in. PNG has some serious potential. If we resolve our QB situation we could be really good this season.
  3. Give the linemen some love. I know last year ya'll didn'y list very many guys on the O-line. PNG had some good ones last year that weren't mentioned, along with guys from other area teams. Te big boys up front is where it all starts.
  4. No. Too much inexperience. Playoffs yes. District title, no.
  5. Not knocking ya Coop, just giving a update on what little scoop I've heard this summer. You do a great job of giving info on this board. Thanks!
  6. PNG. These are ones I've seen play. In no particular order...... Dustin Long Richy Etheridge Ted Brack Ron McGill Trayce Boudoin(sp?) Bo Wortham Coburn twins Joey Price Chris Gohlke Josh Cook These are ones I have seen play in person and remember. There are others that could be on the list that I saw but was too young to really remember.
  7. Coop... I think those are the weights from Dave Campbell Texas Football. I heard that Tomplait is up to around 255 and Gallett is about 275. We have some other big kids that will be playing O and D-line. The heights and weights for PNG in DCTF look like last years stats.
  8. Don't order them from ticketmaster... You'll be hit with a 3 or 4 dollar service charge per ticket. PNG and Ned will have them for sale the week of the game and they are all general admission.
  9. It is between Matt Parks(Sr.) and Drew Barnett(Jr.). Parks has a little bit of the upper hand right now because Barnett is still playing baseball. I think it will come down to the scrimmages to decide who gets the job.
  10. Sorry! I saw Pirates and thought he meant Vidor.
  11. DP#1Fan... How can ya'll have all your starters back? Everyone made a big deal about Vidor having all those seniors and returning starters last year. How can they come back again? Not trying to dog you or anything, it just doesn't add up to me. By the way, Vidor did have a tough team last year. Just had some bad breaks.
  12. Good idea Razor! Easy for Jody to talk trash when BH won't play anyone near the caliber of LM or Brenham. We only scored 17 against LM, but both games we shot ourselves in the foot too many times. Not that it matters, but we outgained LM in our game last year. We turned the ball over several times and after driving about 60 yds on our opening drive, had our punt blocked and returned for a TD. Anyway, have fun in Pearland Jody...The Dogs and Indians will be packing Reliant!
  13. Begnaud, Walker, Tomplait and Gaspard at PNG have been getting a lot of love from colleges.
  14. 1. WB 2. WOS 3. PNG 4. Central 5. Ozen 6. Newton 7. Nederland 8. Bridge City 9. Jasper 10. Silsbee
  15. 1. Remember the Titans 2. Friday Night Lights 3. Rudy (even though i hate ND ) 4. Varsity Blues
  16. Last year PNG at Cy-Creek. Cy Creek leads 17-0 at the half. PNG comes out fired up in the 2nd half and wins 26-23. PNG scored on 4 of 5 2nd half possesions. Cy Creek took the lead 23-20 with about 2 minutes left. PNG got the ball back and scored on its last possesion. This was one of those games that goes down in PNG history. Too bad a lot of people forgot this one because of Rita and the whole coin-flip thing.
  17. Comparing a scrimmage to a real game is not a good way to compare teams. The reason is coaches don't game plan or prepare their teams for scrimmages like they do a real game. You just basically line up and get after it. It would be a totally different game with coaches preparing a whole week for certain schemes.
  18. Beasley should definitely win on offense. Weatherspoon is as good a LB as I've seen,so I would have to go with him.
