SFA85 reacted to Gabe in Imagine if Coach Thompson was the head coach at Port Arthur Memorial!!
Right before Cornel ate three hammers and washed em down with a glass of nails.

SFA85 got a reaction from pakronos in Imagine if Coach Thompson was the head coach at Port Arthur Memorial!!
For me, and I've watched mostly highlights and the PN-G game from start to finish.........
I think, 3rd year starter, drop to 5A, the passing game should be more sophisticated. More crossing routes and less bubble screens.....
Wish we had a TE also to work the seams......

SFA85 got a reaction from P.A Texas in da building in Imagine if Coach Thompson was the head coach at Port Arthur Memorial!!
Not so much of an indictment of Kadon but the type of spread o that's being implemented. To me, he's more of a pocket passer. So on his part of the zone, while in 6A, he handed it off to the RB's 95% of the time, yes?
So if my Oline is suspect and the zone read isn't being ran properly, at least try putting a QB back there more on the line of a Singleton or a Fisk or change your offensive approach to fit the personnel

SFA85 reacted to TxHoops in Imagine if Coach Thompson was the head coach at Port Arthur Memorial!!
This may the most ill-informed post I have seen in a while and that's saying something because they are all over the place every day. In fact, if you were trying to state the exact opposite of the truth, you did a better job.
Fact is, as anyone with ANY knowledge of Orange is aware, WOS's numbers continue to plummet. Every year, they lose kids rob surrounding districts (LCM most notably recently), if not to the Houston area (Sterling-Cole, Baldwin). The only "recruiting" that may be going on would be trying to keep what they have from moving off...

Not such a stupid what if.....
What if another kid was play QB the last 2 years of PAM being in 6A?
What if we really ran the zone read properly with Kam and the kid that went to TTU?
Thompson would've done a bang up job here. Palestine only produced AP and is not known for its foosball success.....

SFA85 reacted to TXFBfan in Beaumont West Brook Playoffs
I just looked at projected district playoff qualifiers. Westfield would be West Brook's probable third round opponent, although Houston Stratford their 15 6A opponent in the first round is a very good team too and could pull the upset over Westfield. Like with West Brook and Longview, the winner of the game between Westfield and Stratford should be a clear round two favorite over a weaker district 13-14 opponent. Cedar Ridge is not currently expected to go D2. The potential fourth round opponent for Westbrook is likely the winner of John Tyler and Klein Collins. Of the 16 teams in R2 D2, I would rank the favorites in as 1. Klein Collins 2. Westfield 3. John Tyler 4. Stratford/Longview/West Brook.

SFA85 reacted to Cougar14.2 in Port Arthur Memorial vs Vidor
?, Lol. What are you talking about man? I'm a FLS and work 4x10 unless I'm on turnaround, like most up and down the channel. Secondly, I wasn't taking a shot at your town. I was pointing out how every time someone lays out some statistics or data some of the Vidor fans go to "Isn't it past your bedtime", or your above post including "probably sitting in a control room somewhere playing on your IPhone. . . ". It's either that or you guys point to a singular event in time five years ago hence the encyclopedia reference.
You guys are so sensitive about your town you think someone is talking about you when they aren't. Your trailer comment is odd from a place where the parents literally search for their children's shoes due to field conditions. I can promise you trailers aren't paying for a new school and multimillion dollar stadium renovations complete with the parachuter to fly in before the national anthem and fireworks.
We both have games first, so I'll leave it there for now.

SFA85 reacted to robanadana in Port Arthur Memorial vs Vidor
Sure are a lot of purple indians posting on a Vidor vs. SPAM thread. Isn't MCM supposed to be the most important game of the year...why y'all worried about a "B" level game?

SFA85 reacted to PAT409 in First Perfect District Record for a Port Arthur school since 1994?
We beat them when it mattered most in the 4th round of the playoffs that year. It felt great getting a little revenge and beating them deep in the playoffs since that was our only district loss.

SFA85 reacted to PhatMack19 in 22-5A Playoffs
PAM hasn't won district just yet. Memorial and Vidor play the last week of the season which could be for a 3 way share of the District Championship.
I'm not sure what they new tie breaker is this season. How the UIL leaves that up to each district is baffling. Going by the old rules it was head to head then point differential amongst the teams tied. If a 3 way tie happens for the 4 seed, they will have all split
Livingston(3-3) has Central and Ozen- Win out and they are in
Nederland(3-3) has Lumberton and PNG left- Win out and have Livingston lose at least 1
Central(2-4) has Livingston and Lee- Win out and have Livingston & Nederland each lose at least one.
Current point differentials
Nederland +6
Livingston +1
Central -7
Central vs Livingston next week will decide the 3 way tie breaker. Central needs to win by 14 for their best chance at the playoffs. A lot other things could still happen over the last 2 weeks.

SFA85 reacted to WOS99 in Impressive (and surprising) WO-S stat
West Orange-Stark has not only the top defense, but also the top scoring offense in 4A-D2. You can't ask for much more than leading in points scored AND points allowed!

SFA85 reacted to Gabe in Elijah Hines is the best back from Port Arthur since...?
Kam his senior year was getting hit in the backfield. The offensive line had troubles until the very end of the season when he started to pick up yards. People forget sometimes a RB, no matter how good they might be, needs a productive line in front of them. Look at Elliot in Dallas.

SFA85 reacted to ThaGhost in Question for PNG faithful
1. Why was PAM used if the thread was NOT them?
2. Yeah, because we're the only fan base that talks. (I was being cynical)
And lastly, why would YOU start a thread and expect for PAM fans to be quiet? Funny thing about it, I told MBG on August 19, 2016 at 5:21 pm that people would say "you couldn't win in 6A"
