The fans have finally got what they’ve wanted, all the terrible umpires are gone & there’s no one left to umpire the games & next me of fans that knows all the goods & good eyesight are applying

Something was definitely in the air over the last two weeks. Two different articles of Basketball parents & kids fighting. One kid came out of the stands & one parent was swinging at a player. 😳

Some of this stuff has implications way past what these kids probably realize. I know a 6’7” kid from the Houston area that at one time held an A&M offer. Big kid, wide shoulders, can hit the three and was one of the better back to the basket players I have seen at his age. Kind of an Adrian Dantley/Alex English type game for some of you old heads. Anyway, I’m not sure he has any committable offers at this point. Even lost some Southland offers for jawing at his coach, refs, etc. And this is a 6’7” kid who would be more talented than most of the rosters in the Southland. Point being, college coaches are very attune to red flags in this day and age. And when you can recruit kids out of the portal, you better be squeaky clean as a high school kid, on and off the court.
I don’t think anyone playing for Orangefield has to worry about that. No one on that team is D1.
The T’s should stop for respect purposes

Kountze 43 Half
OF with 2 techs in the first half
Imagine that. Atleast we have a 6 game streak in something & it’s sure isn’t wins.

Very disappointed as a bobcat with the discipline this year.

Last Regional Round or better appearance
Orangefield: 1988 (2nd round then)
Woodville: 1936 (2nd round then)
East Chambers: 2018 (Advanced to State Quarterfinals), 2014, 2010 (2nd round then), 1999 (2nd round then), 1998 (2nd round then), 1969 (2nd round then), 1968 (2nd round then)Well. That surprised me about Woodville

I said before and some did not like it but D-10 is one of the worst districts in the state. Sorry but thats the truth. There usually is only one 3A-I district thats worse than 10 in the entire state. 9 sweeps 10 lately then 9 gets swept or nearly so in round 2.
I believe Orangefield can and will get a win tomorrow, I sure hope so. They have a new coach, right? When is the last time EC or anyone else in 10 had a playoff win? Whats the problem? Is the coaching in 10 that bad? This is embarrassing.
Orangefield has maybe made it passed the first round maybe once the last 5 years. I think they got to the 2 round in 2022 & maybe 2017…. EC has gone 3 rounds several time over the last 7-10 years. Woodville is a team that goes D1 to D2 & has gone 3 rounds.
I have my thoughts on why Orangefield can’t win 2 playoff games but that’s another story.
overall the area still have great football teams like WOS (always good except last two years) /HF (resent raise) /PNG (resent ).
but for our district, I can only blame coaching since Orangefield is one of the biggest school in 3A & we can’t win…. But that’s only because I can’t think of why District 10 can’t win.
oh… to be fair…. I can’t of a true D1 athlete in that same time frame. That is also important.

If Orangefield wins tomorrow then our district will go 1-3 otherwise it will be a complete sweep by District 9.
I was wondering about that. D 9 has swept D 10 multiple times over the last few years

I really don't think our offense will struggle with the run or pass. They all seem to be working well together and all the skill players are hyped up and ready to win, but did get some disturbing news from my son that a few of the starting defense have said that we are going to lose because our offensive line can't block. We haven't had that mentality since the Bridge City game. Sounds like a few of our players our ready to blame a loss on someone else. If we can prevent our team from turning on itself we will win. But with this information and the fact that we are 0-2 against Schools with birds as the mascot im changing my prediction to Orangefield by 3 points.
Well history has been on the OL side for being solid. Since district, I don’t think the OL has given up put one maybe two sacks. Kirbyville was the only one I can remember.
I’d like to see some accurate stats on Fairfield & the running game.

The class of 2023 went past the first round.
🙄. Did they have a new AD in 2023?

But what is your thoughts on this game in particular because yall have bigger size against Fairfield so that will work in yalls favor.
Fairfield DL looked bigger than Orangefields. We do have a big big OL guard but everyone else is low 200’s.
Because of Fairfield DL, I expect our RB will hit the open gaps hard & fast & I don’t know a LB that can catch him. I did see Fairfield vs Crocket game & I wasn’t overwhelmingly impressed. Crocket had a lot of dropped passes.
I think we can score 3 or 4 TD by half.

I know they did but Orangefield will be a tough out for any team this post season especially if the QB and RB gets in sync immediately after the first play. The only reason why we played them so close because out best player was playing. And that's the one thing I said about beating Coldspring. Take out our RB and you will beat us and if not we have very strong chances of beating you. He was in my opinion the very best RB in our district.
CS was driving to win the game in the last three minutes of the game. Unfortunately CS RB come out of the game & Orangefield held on. PS, I never really founded out what happened to him. I know he took some hard hit by our DE & Middle LB.
Teams have to respect Orangefield running game with their RB, if the LB come in to fill the gap, the QB will keep it or hit them slants & can throw them deep.
I’m hopeful Orangefield can make it to the regional finals this year. That would be a super high bar to set. Most of the skilled players are juniors and the QB is a sophomore.
it starts this Friday.

Trust me yall "should" handle Fairfield with no problem. I also see our district going 3-1 or 2-2 due to the Coldspring-Teague game and how that goes. I also don't think Diboll will beat East Chambers.
Well last year district 9 swept district 10 in the first round. So 3-1 for district 10 would be great.
Hopefully we get to play Franklin in the regional championship in football like we did for baseball with a different outcome. I’m hoping all the Franklin baseball players graduated. 😆
-
Well I saw them play Crocket on Saturday & I couldn’t really make an honest judgement. Didn’t know the ability of Crocket as they struggled a lot.
Fairfield has some good size linemen in both side of the ball but were slow so hopefully of RB can stick with his quickness & speed.

Can Orangefield make it past the first round in years with the new AD?
I sure hope so.
Taking Bobcats by 14.

I wanna give some credit to Orangfield… I personally thought they were making a mistake in going away from the slot t… I said I didn’t think there would be much success because of that… especially in year 1….I was wrong and this coaching staff and players deserve serious props
I can respect that.
Few would ever post something like this.
Like someone said. The Boys bought into the program & embraced this opportunity for a new beginning.
