Well about the only thing any Raider fan can say at this point is that we are proud of the effort our kids put out this year, and we are also very proud of the definite improvement of their play.  I can also say just because we are playing Nederland this week, sure as heck doesn't mean we are laying down. Our Seniors have shown the underclassmen a lesson or two in determination and fight, and the RAIDERS will play their butts off win , lose or draw...Go Raiders!

Lord, we are thankful and mindful of all things you have given us today. We pray for each and every player that takes the field this weekend. Lord, we ask for hedge of protection around these young men taking the field, and for all the fans, drill teams, bands, and cheerleaders, traveling to and from the games. Give these young men courage to do their very best at what they have been trained to do and play to the very best of their abilities. To play the game with honor, dignity, integrity, and respect for their opponent. To play the game with a clear mind and a strong spirit. Help us to be gracious losers and even more gracious winners. Raidergirl92  I have a sneaky feeling that your Raiders will be a good team within the next few seasons....... That coach you guys hired is a good one. If you look over his past coaching history you would find he is pretty good at turning programs around. I expect after he gets his program installed and get the football energy levels back up in the school you guys will be fine. Remember I told you this first Haynes is a good coach he is a winner. He had a 148-76-3 record entering Lumberton with only 1 losing season in his whole career. When Haynes took over his alma mater Hardin they had never won a DC in there school history he won 2 while he was there.

The slug, dropout that is getting it for free or paying $10 a month thinks that is great but for the guy working for a living and it goes from $500 a month to $800 a month, not so much.

I'll keep most of my comments to myself, I will say that if your kid has aspirations to play sports, he/she better work on their skills. Can't keep talent off the field, court etc. We as parents can't shield them from everything, a lot of things aren't fair, but neither is LIFE. Hang in there, God has a plan for us ALL. The enemy can only place obstacles; can't stop what God has for us. Your Blessings are for you, not anyone else.

Must be coincidence that all the "errors" are switching from GOP to Dem....if...IF...it were a random calibration issue, one would think the "errors" would show up in both directions...at least once!

My out of pocket deductible goes up a grand + a monthly premium increase. This on top of an increase last year. Lets ask another way... If our costs decreased by the same amount, who would you give credit to?

I normally enjoy watching Republicans win more than I do watching Democrats lose. This is one of the few elections where the opposite is true (knock on wood).

I can't speak for the rest of the Pirate faithful, but I really appreciated the applause after the young lady who led the invocation ended it with "in Jesus name." I try not to be political on the board but I do believe the vast majorityof Texas high school football fans are made to bow to the wishes of the very few.

These clowns do not realize by pushing their "agenda" they strengthen ours. Kountze has sent them away with their tails tucked once now they are pushing to go 0-2 in our district.

I'm sure it has nothing to do with being critical of Obama's policies...I wonder how many at MSNBC are on the watch list?

Maybe our government should arm American rebels in Texas and Arizona to fight ISIS! Oh wait... they want to arm Muslims in Syria and DISARM AMERICANS!

The Supreme Court said that limiting how much you can donate to a political campaign is an unconstitutional violation of the right to freedom of speech. The Democrats don't like that ruling and want to not create a new law (which would also violate our constitutional rights) but to change the Constitution and limit free speech when it comes to politics. The Democrats say yes to changing the Constitution and limiting free speech when it comes to elections and the Republicans say no. 
 
Ohhhh.... but let's not talk about free speech, let's call it what it has been called in this thread, bribery.
 
If you call it legal bribery as the title of the thread suggests, is less money just "a little bribery"? If you offer a cop $500 to drop a citation it would be a bribe but if you only offer him $250, it isn't? That is what the campaign finance laws say. You can donate to someone (bribe by the claim of this thread) and it is perfectly okay but you can only bribe to a certain extent. Tell me where that makes sense. The Dems don't mind donations and sure aren't turning down any money.... they only mind if you get more than they do. So it is okay to bribe people, just keep the bribing "under control".
 
There have been several such First Amendment cases that have thrown out campaign finance laws and in the most recent case (2014), the law (BCRA) allowed the "bribery"..... but you had to stop it 60 days before the election. Again, tell me where that makes any sense. Yes, you can put your money in electronic (television, radio, etc.) campaigning but you can't do it right at the end. Apparently the Dems think that bribery is perfectly okay to bribe 61 days out from an election but don't do it inside of 60 days.   And for that, they want to change the Constitution. 

I would rather see big business influence votes and legislation than the do nothing ( you owe me a living ) crowd.
