1. Jasper little league has potential, but I would not call it great at this point. Little League is about a lot more than merely winning all-star games. I hope the future turns out to be bright. The fields are in great shape this year.
2. Sowell misses his spots from time to time. Just like good MLB pitchers, they have good days and bad days. Knowing Sowell's arm, he could probably bounce back and throw some in a game 3 and he will be ready for the Semis if Jasper wins this series. When he is on, meaning his curve is working, and he is hitting his spots he is hard to hit. Remember the 15 K's he had earlier this year against WOS...and I think they are still alive.
3. I think the final four in the region will be Bridge City, Jasper, Orangefield, and Robinson. The regional semi-finals and finals will all be very close with the region winner having a great shot at the state championship, but there is a lot of baseball to be played between now and then
4. I think either team gets the winner of the Jasper/Hudson series. The Orangefield/WOS winner gets the winner of the Robinson/??? matchup
5. Do you mean the Saturday game is at Morris Frank Park where Lufkin plays their varsity baseball games?
6. so the lead off guy that got to third was in the top 1/2 for San marcos....that would be why the double did not win it....now i get it.
7. I bet it will be packed. Not a lot seating, especially for a 5A field. I bet it will two or three deep down both foul lines. Great playing surface. Should provide good hops and some great play.
8. I agree with MrUmp1 it is in the UIL regulations not in the actual rule book
9. No harm meant I was just responding to the post about neither team having played Jasper Hudson will be a tough series this weekend. All of the 3A teams form SETX have a chance to go far. No one is going to take anything for granted.
10. Jasper played WOS already this year and beat them....it was the frist game of the season. I think they also played in the WOS tournament and Jasper won as well.
11. As long you have one game done by friday night and get the second game started the UIL typically will let you finish the three game series
12. Below is straight from the UIL Baseball manual. A two-out-of-three series that does not get a complete game in by the end of the day Friday automatically reverts to a one game series. This means that if game one of a series has been suspended and cannot be completed by the end of the day Friday, that the winner of that completed game will advance. If one game is played and a second game cannot be played because of weather, then the winner of the one game advances to the next round. If game two is started and cannot be completed because of weather, it may be completed (from point of suspension) on Monday of the next week. The third game, if necessary, should also be played Monday. If two games are played (and split) and the third game cannot be played on Saturday because of weather conditions, then the third and deciding game should be played on Monday of the next week. Schools playing a two-out-of-three series should set parameters for the series prior to the first game. The parameters should include how the schools will handle weather problems and delays. Things such as how far the schools will travel to find an available field, giving up home field advantage, etc. must be discussed before one team gains a position of advantage after the first game is completed and weather becomes a factor.
13. I beleive the rule is that as long as one complete game is finished by Friday at Midnight they can try and get the last two in on Monday. If game one was on a Friday and did not get finished by midnight friday, the series would automatically revert to a one game series.
14.
I see where Jasper plays Saturday at Woodville if necessary.  Are Thursday and Friday games also at Woodville?
It is a home and home on Thursday (at Crockett) and Friday (at Jasper)
15. go to 3abaseball.com and you can find out a lot about most of the playoff teams.
