I would expect the same will be true for lots of games today. Probably a needed break for teams that will be playing in tournaments this weekend.

Then this weekend, they have to play four more games. Very heavy early season scheduling.

Does that mean it is now over...been raining all day here.

He is basically a co-#1. They have two guys that were lights out last year. The other one has been more dominant this year, but Silsbee beat a really good pitcher last night.

Woodville and Jasper JV tournaments are both washed out on Saturday.

Due to expected Rain on Saturday, the first two Saturday games are being moved to Friday night. Now the 6pm game will have a 1.5 hour time limit as will the two late games. More than likely, the last games will start at around 8 and around 9:30 or 10:00. It is going to be a late night in Woodville. 6:00 p.m. - Hardin-Jefferson/Center winner vs. Quitman/Coldspring winner 8ish p.m. - Huntington/Woodville Loser vs. 6pm winner 10ish p.m. - 10:30am loser v. 1:00pm loser Saturday's two late games are still on Saturday to be played TBA weather permitting.

Light issues is what I heard. I think there may have been some vandalism involved. I was not there, but that is what I heard.

Anyone ever find the Kirbyville tournament schedule for the 10th-12th. Just curious.

Kountze was never in the Woodville tournament. The bracket I have shows Woodville, Coldspring, Quitman, Center, Huntington, and Hardin-Jefferson. No Kountze.

That is good. It will allow teams to get some games in. Not hoping for this, but any word if Evadale will play in the tournament if they end up losing on Wednesday night. It would be a quick turnaround for them, but it would also them to get some work in. Two tournament weekends in a row in Kountze. It should be a good tournament...if it is indeed the same teams that were going to play in Evadale. You might change the title of the thread to indicate that the tournament has been moved.

I am interested as well if you need new players this year.

Anyone have any word on the Kirbyville tournament bracket the weekend of the 10th-12th?

The one loss was by a landslide, but it does sound like they just might have enough pitching this year to take a couple of good teams down.

Any word on this game. I know that both will have Area match ups in the basketball playoffs on Friday. Would think it would be canceled so people could watch the playoff game. update- the game has indeed been canceled.

Just finished the final season on Directv 101. Great show. I really hate to see it go. It is just about the only TV show that brought tears to my eyes from time to time. The final season ties up lots of loose ends...it leaves you wanting more, but also with enough closure that you really know the road that everyone will be heading down. It is gonna be missed...but not forgotten. I like the TV show much more than the movie adaptation of the book.

I have been told that the game has already been moved to Hemphill...I was told that last week. Has that changed?

I heard the Friday scrimmage at west sabine has been moved to hemphill since the new field is not ready. You would hope that the contractors would be paying penalties at this point since the field is not ready and the season is now here.

The simple answer is that if the bat is composite it must be BBCOR with a few exceptions. aluminum BESR bats are legal.

If knowledge of baseball and fixing the 5 mentioned issues above are most important...besides knowledge of football. I would say that you cannot go wrong with Mark Williams from Evadale. It would be a step-up for him, but he is a great man that instills respect and molds great men. He has coached the Evadale baseball team as well the past few years to some great success. Not a Sexy hire, but IMHO a great option. Not sure why he would want to leave Evadale for Hemphill. Evadale's 1A teams in football could probably beat Hemphill right now...Baseball would be a good game, but I think the Rebs might come out on top.

Last year Chester was the clear winner and WS and Colmesniel had a one game playoff to decide 2nd and 3rd place in district.

I the varsity had a perfect season...in the loss the column. Not sure of the subvarsity record.
