3. Any word on the details for this matchup? Surprised we have not heard anything since the matchup has been set since Thursday night.
4. Nederland executed it perfectly against Livingston earlier this season.
5. The schedule thread has the game starting at 6pm @ The Hill. Get there early...not quite the seating that Nederland has, but a beautiful park with great playing surface. I don't think anyone will be able to blame the turf tonight.
6. Hardin lost game one in their series last night. Warren plays two tonight. Not much to talk about at this point.
7.

Umps don't have to qualify. The coaches pick the umps. It is typically a split crew from the two chapters that call for the two teams during the regular season.
Unless things have changed they DON'T pick m, they do have an option to scratch m tho, I've never understood why you don't see the best the Asso has to offer.] Coaches do pick the umpires in the playoffs. If it is a 4 man crew it is typically 2 umpires (that the coach requests if they are available) from the two chapters that call the respective schools regular season games. Sometimes the coaches do not want to use their local chapters so they will agree to use a neutral chapter that does not call either schools regulAr season games. If the schools cannot agree on a neutral chapter then the UIL picks one. When a chapter is neutral you typically get a 3 man crew that is selected by that chapter's scheduling secretary. Coach picks are honored more often in the playoffs than in the regular season. Your comment from above is typical to how the selection process is done in the regular season. I have no idea who umpired this game last night or where they were from. The point is that both coaches more than likely agreed on not just the chapter, but more than likely one coach picked the patricular umpire in question.
9. True, but as you go up in classification you typically have more quality arms. Should be a good series. Two tough teams, two tough coaches.
10. That is a crazy way to do a playoff series..but I guess it saves money on travel if it is a two and out series.
11. It is a three game series. Who has the pitching is always key in 1A playoff series.
12. Who wanted the one game playoff. Kind of surprised
13. Going to bottom of 2nd 0-0 Great defense for both sides so far
14. 0-0 top 2 2 outs runner on 1st Livingston is home team
15. I heard that if Vidor wins forcing a one-game tie breaker that it would be in Jasper on Saturday the 30th. Is this confirmed....any idea what time that game would take place? I know that the Pirates have to take care of business tonight first. I will not be able to watch tonight, but I could watch tomorrow depending on the start time.
16. Galena Park North Shore is 5A. Galena Park is a member of 19-4A Two different schools, two different districts, two different classifications.
17. Looks like it will be swap in the first round of the playoffs this year. With Colmesniel taking on Sabine Pass and West Sabine taking on Big Sandy. Gonna be fun.
