Not sure what schedule you are talking about. You believe Tatum, North Desoto, Daingerfield, Van, Rusk are “weak”?

None of those teams play defense.   For what it is worth Center doesn’t play defense either.  Dixon had 90+ yards against Carthage.   In comparison to other schools yes those schools are weak.

  2. Matt ….. appreciate all the work you guys put in.

So say you distribute as usual and incur a tremendous loss in revenue just to satisfy the masses.   That is not a very good economic decision.   Things change…. I’m old school , yet I have to learn the new way of doing things.  People will still view Texas Football in whatever format it is distributed.

you may want to go look that rule up.

No need to look it up.  I will correct one aspect that I mis-stated.   If Umpire is hit by a batted ball prior to an infielder having an opportunity it is a dead ball.  Runners will move up one base from time of pitch , IF FORCED TO MOVE UP.

Umpires are not part of the field.  Fields were not built with the field, much like hands are not part of the bat.  Bats were not created with hands attached.

You might want to upgrade your rule book.

Question wasn’t worded clearly.  I thought he meant batter as well.  The ump is part of the field.  If the ump gets in the way, then too bad.  Nothing happens.

You can have umpire interference in that situation.  Umpire is part of the field is a common comment that is not true.  If a batted ball ball hits an umpire before a fielder has a chance then it is a dead ball.  Batter would be awarded 1st base and any other runners would be advanced one base from where they were at time of pitch.

That's the thing, transfers come in and ultimately displace a hometown guy that paid his dues all up through the system from 7th grade on. I bet it leaves a real sour taste that will last a lifetime at least to some degree.

So if the transfer is better than the hometown kid he shouldn’t play because he hasn’t paid his dues.

if the transfer meets all the eligibility requirements then as a coach you play the best player.  If a freshmen is better than a senior then the better player should play.  What grade you are in shouldn’t determine your playing time.

This game was very interesting and entertaining to say the least.  Tale of two halfs here.  BU was red hot from 3 in the first half then PA was lights out in the second half.  Started off pretty much looking like we were the aggressors.  Even went in a big run at the beginning of the 3rd period and went up by 20.  Then #4 from PA got hot and got them eventually back in the game down by 3.  Key free throws late helped BU squeak by.  This PA team is GOOD.  Some questionable substitutions late for them,  it ohh well.  Pretty good crowd.  Enjoyed the back and forth with the PA guys.  All in love though.  They chanted overrated and our crowd pointed to the back to back banners.  They brought up football and we brought up head to head matchups and so forth.

All that aside, I don’t understand how this team was only able to put up 27 points the night before against the Ant Mound.

And for the love of me, I don’t know why the PA guards on fast breaks were not dishing to a slashing high flyer, Jones, instead of forcing tough layups in traffic.  I saw at least 5 opportunities where it could’ve been like 5 easy dunks for this kid.  Work on stuff like this and I see PA not losing another district game.

The Ant Mound is pretty good this year.   That is why they only scored 27.   Statement could be made that how did the Ant Mound only score 37 points.

lol its a better arena end of story. Dont have to fill it to have a great environment.

Oh I know coaches agree, I get it from the Sterling side...they are playing in their own GCCISD Arena, it may not be their home court but they will certainly get the home treatment vs a truly neutral site.

Depth perception? come on, both teams have the same looks.

Needle in a haystack.   May be a better arena but would be hard to fill.   Smaller venue allows for the environment to be better.

Coaches agreed so I’m sure the BH coach is ok with it.
