I've just sat back and laughed at most of this thread but since this is the 2nd or 3rd time I've heard this mentioned, can you please explain how Huffman is a "Houston school"? Like what does that even mean and specifically how should that directly translate to having a better football team?

Lufkin at Goose Creek Memorial Week 9 Predictions
PackAttack replied to Mr. Buddy Garrity's topic in High School Football
Your darn right and I never said it did, only stating a FACT that Ball scored 31, whether it was 6 weeks or 6 days ago and who are you to come on this topic and make some big knock about it?? Sounds more like a defensive jester to me. We have had to listen all year about LaPorte's injuries and how it has affected their play, as if no other district teams have had key injuries to overcome. Be happy your undefeated in district through all the chaos and probably will remain so until the Region III playoffs, but don't come in here and try to correct me on a Lufkin topic. -

Agreed forum follies trying to stir the pot. Also agree with Huffman they're a Houston school in a very weak district they should be at the top of this district. LCM is young and scrappy will probably win it the next few years. Vidor getting their groove back and a well coached team. BC is better than their record and will be better next year with Chambless at QB and a huge senior class. Rest of the district is pretty weak.

I counted, Shepherd starts 6 to 7 kids on both sides of the ball in very though 4A Division. I think they are using all the tread on their tires. Those kids play physical, smash mouth football. They just don't have the team speed some of the other division teams have.

A game between La Porte and Ball six weeks ago has absolutely nothing to do with a game between Lufkin and GCM this week. -

Mid County Madness Nederland vs PNG
navydawg31 replied to Stangfan#1's topic in High School Football
In Mid-County Madness, throw the records out once the ball is kicked off. The Bulldogs need Jaedon Ned and their running game to keep the chains moving, control possession, and keep PNG's offense on the sideline. Long, sustained drives would be a major advantage for Nederland. Brayden Clay can turn a short completion into a bigger play. Plus his dynamic special teams play. If the Indians hit explosive plays early, Nederland could be forced to abandon its preferred game plan. Not good for the Bulldogs. This is Nederland’s most talented front 7 since those mid 2010’s years. In a rivalry this intense, one interception, fumble, or special-teams mistake can decide everything. Nederland needs to play disciplined football. If the Bulldogs can hold PNG under 25 points, win the turnover battle, and run the ball effectively. The Dogs will come out on top and spoil the party at the Rez. Going to be a great game like always come Friday Night. -
Lufkin at Goose Creek Memorial Week 9 Predictions
PackAttack replied to Mr. Buddy Garrity's topic in High School Football
Only mentioned that Ball scored 31 on LaPorte, whether you had injuries or not was not exactly relevant to this topic. So what that LaPorte had injuries, everyone has those at some point in a season and you compensate the best way possible. Lufkin has had them too, had key WR and defensive secondary and DL guys out, even lost a starting SR DE and RB midway through the season. In fact Lufkin is just getting back two projected starters that were hurt before the season ever started. Teams just do their best and move on, LaPorte has done okay through their tough times. All teams do. I think Goose Creek Memorial will be a tough out for Lufkin on the road, but you still got to play the game. Lufkin doesn't mind traveling and they have already played at Stallworth this year.. -
Careful, you will be labeled a Trump hater or a liberal. However, you speak facts that can be backed up not opinions. Trump represents MAGA not Republicans.

Anahuac at Orangefield Thursday, District Title
pine curtain replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in High School Football
You would think a big game like this would be played on Friday. -
This rival game can be close some years but this isn't one of them. PN-G's overall production in all three phases is better. Watch the next several opponents go down; one game at a time. Nederland is the next win on the way to an undefeated district championship for PN-G.

Anahuac at Orangefield Thursday, District Title
Bobcats0809 replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in High School Football
I watched the Anahuac & EC game, EC was the far better team, they just couldn’t get out of their own way. Idk if Ceasar was hurt in the second half, but he barely got the ball. That being said, anything is possible with 16 & 17 year old kids, but I imagine OF rolls in this one. -
Sounds like operator error then lol I also have a NFHS subscription and can watch any game I want...just cant watch multiple games at same time
