  2. PN-G vs Huntsville 1946 PN-G 46-0 PN-G went 11-0 outscoring opponent's 394 to 23 with 7 shutouts. 1947 PN-G 13-7 2018 Huntsville 31-14 PN-G 2019 Huntsville 27-10 @ Huntsville 2023 PN-G 24-14 NRG 2024 PNG 24-21 @ Huntsville
  3. They struggled and I think lost to Sterling and yes, they played Friendswood
  4. A couple squads had some fun last week to open district play. How yall feeling now?? 🤔
  5. Lol. Only one that can come close would be The Big Red Machine. What a lineup.
  6. They're getting things set after our game. Similar to last year. Many of the adjustments discussed were made. Berneathy treats pre-district as a learning period. Although, I know he'd also prefer winning the games vs losing them. I hope we keep playing each other--pending realignment issues--as the last game before district. It's a good, physical test where each team can learn a lot about their needs before the 'real season' starts. Even though it's physical, both teams play clean. So, unless it's just an accident, injuries aren't really a concern. Can't say that about every team.
  7. Alvarez, Meyers, Parades and Pena were all out at the same time during a portion of the season. Sousa and Garcia were most definitely above average at the time of their injuries. No debating that fact. Numbers don't lie. But in your mind, all 28 active players on an MLB roster should be way above average. Let me know when you see a team of that caliber. smh
  8. HJ beat Livingston Huffman beat Liberty LCM beat Vidor BC beat Lumberton This week: Livingston (0-1) @ Liberty (0-1) LCM (1-0) @ HJ (1-0) BC (1-0) @ Vidor (0-1) Huffman (1-0) @ Lumberton (0-1)
  9. You are correct, they had a lot of injuries, but not at the same time and the players you just mentioned were just not that good. Brown, Hader, Abreu yes, the others you mentioned Sousa, Walter, Garcia no. Dezenzo no. Those guys were average I don’t care what stat you give - they were average
  10. The way Dayton ran through KP, I expect LP to do the same if not more
  11. To me La Porte is a much better version of Huntsville. By the way La Porte Go make a name for yourselves this year. You guys have a great program and great sportsmanship. It was awesome watching the players from each team helping each other up and giving each other pats on the helmet after good plays. Well coached kiddos over there.
  12. LOL I don't believe you said that but it was certainly a possibility. I hate to think that tho.
  13. Maybe WOS shouldn't have pushed out Thompson. Hmmmm
  14. I don't see Huntsville as being anywhere near the same level as PN-G. Indians in a relatively easy win at home.
  15. Today
  16. La Porte makes their first road trip of the season to always tough Turner Stadium to take on the Panthers for a Thursday night matchup of 1-0 District foes. KP took care of the Kempner Cougars in Week 1 of District play, while La Porte downed Friendswood. KP is averaging 32.5 ppg on O, and giving up 26 ppg. They come into the contest with a record of 3-1, with wins over Montgomery, 6A Clear Lake, and Kempner, and a loss against Dayton. La Porte comes into the contest averaging almost 37 ppg, and giving up 29 ppg. They also come into the contest at 3-1, with wins over 6A Deer Park, 6A Kingwood, and Friendswood, and a loss against PN-G. Who takes this one? NOTE: I believe the game will be broadcast on Texan Live.
  17. Was that the game Shug twisted his ankle real bad??
  18. Why do they leave France off the list? He looked good last night. Garcia was looking way above average before he got hurt again.
  19. Of the pitchers that you say were "average at best": Sousa had one of the best ERA's in baseball at 2.84 when he got hurt. Only Brown, Hader and Abreu had lower ERA's on the team with that many innings pitched. Garcia at 3.52 and Walter at 3.32 were "above average" when they got hurt. MLB average ERA for the season was 4.10. As for the position players: Dezenzo was hitting above average (.255, MLB average is .240). The fact that so many outfielder's (6) were put on IL during the season put Houston in a bad way with having to pull minor leaguers up sooner than they wanted to. BTW, you listed 4 of the 8 everyday position players. Half of the everyday starters. But you can't see the issue with that. smh Fact is, this team was decimated with injuries. It was simply amazing that they were in the playoff race till the last two games. You can never convince me otherwise.
  20. They played us at the Reservation in 2018.
  21. As bad as Pasadena is, and I thought it might be the worst varsity team I have ever seen, they did beat Houston Austin 39-0, so there is somebody worse. I did think it was pretty ridiculous Crosby did multiple on-side kick attempts against Pasadena, the first one being after they returned the opening kick off back for a touchdown. Just bad sportsmanship in my opinion by the staff.
