If Lufkin can contain that QB run, because they love to use it, we will win this thing. I could see it being 35-14 but I could also see us in a 24-21 dog fight lol. We haven’t put much consistency together for whatever reason. I do know our offense is running out of the pistol now to help accommodate certain guys and positions. We shall see.

Hardin is traveling over to New Waverly tomorrow for a battle with the 6-1 Bulldogs. What are your thoughts on this one? Massey has it 35-14 in favor of Hardin but we've seen the computer have a malfunction or two this year.

2 closely matched teams, closer than some people want to admit. I think that's why there isn't as much trash talk as usual. Neither team has this in the bag and if they think that they are deluding themselves or haven't watched previous games. This will be a one score game as was the majority of the games the last ten-twenty years were.

As you know, Lufkin changed their O a little during their bye week to take better advantage of some of their skill players. I feel relatively confident they can beat GCM. BWB is a little different animal, even though both focus their O on their QB’s. BWB has a better D than GCM IMHO. Plus, they’re on somewhat of an upswing. Still, Lufkin doesn’t have to beat GCM. They only have to beat BWB. It’s all moot if BU doesn’t lose out. Lufkin won’t win in a tie scenario. They need it to be heads up with them & RSS getting the spots. Matt is simply going with the odds based on play to this point. It’s all he can—or any of us—go by. Preseason, I picked Lufkin to get the 4 seed. I haven’t heard the fat lady sing yet. But, she is warming up. (This is just to address your BISD question about neither getting in.)

Beginning in 2028, is what I'm reading. My oldest daughter ran track, and my oldest granddaughter played soccer, and I always enjoyed watching the games, and was always surprised at the speed for some reason, although I guess I shouldn't have been. Similar to soccer, I can see speed being the name of the game for flag football. Hopefully there will be some interest, but participation will depend on season timing. Lots of overlap with softball. volleyball, basketball, soccer and track.

Every year since Coach Joseph has been at PN-G, the Indians have improved every game throughout the season. This season is no different. The preparation and execution has gotten better each week. This team is on their own mission. Look at the last 4 years and you can see where this team is going. This team is trending in the right direction. Nederland is improving this year but they aren't where PN-G is right now. PN-G will win this game by double digits.

If you have limited ball handling ability, you have no chance in today's basketball climate with or without a shot clock.

Yeah, LH, the little team that just won't go away. WRT parking, as far as I can immediately recall, the only two stadiums around here with adequate parking are the Butch, and the Memorial stadiums. East Chambers too perhaps. But anyway, in PN and Ned, you're pretty much on your on. For PN parking I get there as early as I can and park at the old fire station, or between there and the park, and wear walking shoes. WRT talk around town, Ned is the most confident that I've seen in the past 4 or 5 years.

Gohlke is a concern for any team that plays PN-G. Even in the loss at Brenham, he had multiple highlight reels. With just a little space and even when there seems to not be any, he escapes and is gone.
