  1. Past hour
  2. Pick me! Pick me! How about a ‘C’ for comatose?
  3. I will agree that he is not perfect, and there are things I don't like about him; however: (1) do you like that drug trafficking is down? (2) do you like that gas is around $2.25 per gallon for the first time since I can remember? (3) do you like that you get a tax break on the premium portion of your OT? Do you like the cost of eggs, butter and other staples being cut by 1/3 or more? (4) do you like inflation going from around 9% to around 3%? (5) do you like that illegal border crossings are down like 236 gazillion percent? (Sorry, didn't know the actual stat, but this one is probably close) (6) whether you like the man or not, do you like that he's not being led around by the Easter bunny, falling off a plane, falling off a bike, wandering off looking for someone to shake his hand, whispering incoherently into a microphone, hiding in a basement, calling men women, calling women men? ... I could literally come up with this crap all day. Reply with any of these positives you like. If you don't reply, I will assume you like them all like I do.
  4. I have not heard anything. My guess (@tvc184) would know better, but I bet money and the best lawyers are going to delay this thing as long as possible..
  5. According to ChatGPT, 80% of Presidents that have house and senate majority starting their second term have lost both House and Senate at midterms. So, it will be the norm not just on Trump - but it will be ALL ON TRUMP if he DOES manage to hold House and Senate..... History has him a 20% chance of doing so and a 80% chance of not......
  6. What are yall's thoughts?
  7. Trump definitely has some self-inflicted wounds. But, I also think most people are way off on what a POTUS is actually supposed to have as a job function. We’ve let the Imperial Presidency run amok for decades. On one hand, I hear some say DOJ & Federal employees are supposed to be impartial. In the very next breath, they accuse those same employees of prosecuting political enemies, or not following a POTUS campaign message that he shouldn’t have promised anyway as he didn’t have the authority. POTUS has some effect on the economy through policy. But, he/she doesn’t control the purse strings. Congress & Treasury control. Our Founders and the Constitution explicitly meant it to be that way. There are many other things POTUS past and present have been doing that wasn’t supposed to be in their purview. These powers should be pulled back. I believe that’s what the current SCOTUS is doing slowly but surely. That’s why my grade was only on powers and duties given to POTUS via the Constitution and other laws as expressly directed by Congress. POTUS is supposed to be the caretaker. Not the whole enchilada. One of three.
  8. Any updates on this one? @tvc184 @thetragichippy
  9. I don’t think folks are as consumed with the Epstein files as you are, but it is certainly sad that we have so many folks that haven’t voted FOR something for so long, only voted against Trump. But after reading posts from those very voters, it’s understandable.
  10. Say what you will but this is ALL ON TRUMP IF HE BECOMES A LAME DUCK. All self inflicted.
  11. Friday, February 27th 7:00 P.M. Pasadena High School
  12. Need a big game offensively from multiple tomorrow for bc to compete! Let’s get it boys. BC by 4.
  13. I have no doubt the American people are dimwitted enough to vote to return to what we had a year ago because they hate Trump. We live in an American Idol era, personality over policy.
  14. Just asked Hippy same thing, apparently you get x amount in a 24 hour period, not sure the count.
  15. Out of curiosity, what overall grade do you give Biden for his 4 years?
  16. Today
  17. Silsbee has beat Yates the last few times due to solid PG play and pressuring the ball. Silsbee doesn't press and right now turns the ball over to much. Miracles do happen but I wouldn't expect one this time. Yates 102 Silsbee 79.
  18. 74 pages and still no Trump. Give it a rest already.
  19. Playing Washington will be like playing a Silsbee team from a few years ago. BC could occasionally make the Tigers sweat for one half of basketball back then. Their problem was giving out in the second half and the 3s would stop falling. If they can play well for all 4 quarters, they might have a small chance of pulling off an upset I say BTW by 10 though.
  20. Yates thrives off the press and turnovers. Silsbee has not done a good job of taking care of the ball this year, and they're not going to magically morph into a different team by Friday. That's a recipe for a potential disaster. Yates by 20+

  22. No doubt great job at the border which I’ve given him credit but this is my opinion and it will show come the midterms if something doesn’t change.
  23. Even more comedy. I didn’t bring up Trump, you did. To refresh our memory, this was your quote that I answered: Uhhh…yes. Trump has driven divisions that were incomprehensible 15 years ago. Never has such a liar occupied the Oval Office. Never has anyone in the Oval Office, including Nixon been so focused on themselves at the expense of the Constitution, and reason in general for that matter. He is consequential in a bad way. That is why my response was, this thread is about Paxton and Cornyn. Your comment that I answered never mentioned Paxton or Cornyn or anything to do with the topic of the thread. You only mentioned Trump, the Oval Office, Nixon and the Constitution. I understand that it might be hard for you to follow along. When you’re so eaten up with Trump that you completely go off topic and never mention the intent of the thread. It’s okay, what did Trump do this time? Did he hurt your feelings in the SoTU?
