I see a reason for the protection, I really do, should it be policed more, absolutely. Do I see it changing - nope. I don't know your opinion of Trump, but removing that slush fund is probably something he would do. I think the biggest reason there is such pushback with Trump with the old schoolers is he is not afraid to change traditional norms.

Kelly stepped in it himself. He couldn’t help it. He has to deal with the consequences. Powell played politics. He lowered interest rates in 2024 right before the election to help the Democratic candidate. He won’t lower them now when he should. So, yes, Powell has been a disaster. That’s why he’ll be gone!
