Astros exercise option on Paredes. At 13.5 million and if he produces like last year, he could make a great addition to a team late in the season if the Astros are not in contention. As a "rental" he wouldn't bring a massive trade, but with a reasonably low salary for his normal level of play he could bring a quality prospect. 7-3 is a great turnaround from 2 straight 1-9 seasons. Even if Kirbyville upsets EC and knocks Buna out of the playoffs it’s still a good year. Almost everyone returns. Losing only 1 defensive starter. 5 seniors total.
