I know. I just wanted your thoughts. To me, if the government is going to play investor, give me my SSA and Medicare money, let me invest it as I choose, and provide for myself. I retired early. They’re beyond broke.
-
The same group was WIDE OPEN when Barrier played with them in 8th grade. They only would have gotten better had Brady stayed and they remained in a simular offense
-
Yes, and I didn’t even like Obama bailing out GM, but I was addressing your post about AIPAC.

I believe Jasper just got a good baseball coach!

The current Administration is practicing outright socialism buying equity stakes in multiple companies which basically distorts the markets, and makes them psuedo government companies. Isn't that also self-destruction of capitalism, and the free market system America was founded on? Where's the outrage? Are we 'hell bent on self destruction'? You're well aware of my thoughts on government overreach and socialism. Regardless of Administration. Why does it seem this Administration is on a fast track to government ownership stakes in so many firms?
-
Same. Also voted for Johnson. I haven't voted since.
-
Ok. Hopeful.

I think GameChanger is about the only way to keep up with it.

If he can't get the support of his own district...... I really liked Perot.....

I am against foreign donors in our elections, but here we are. AIPAC did try and stop Mamdani. Could it be that NYC has been in a downward dem/socialist spiral for years? What a hell hole. Money is a huge factor, but if NYC is hell bent on self destruction, then there is no hope.

The Speaker needs to take him off any committees he may be on so he doesn’t cause any problems!

He could always run for POTUS as a Libertarian candidate in 2028. Not saying he'd be successful. But, he would be the most high profile 3rd Party candidate since Perot, and Johnson made inroads in 2016. Wildcard. But, you never know. It would definitely add a twist.

At some point in time, this has to stop. This is socialism. Period. It's bad enough that it's the government picking winners and losers. But, if you don't think it's an issue buying equity stakes in businesses with your money, let me ask you this... When are you going to sell if you want to and get your money back? This is now--officially--out of control. US is taking equity stakes in IBM and other quantum computing companies One of those companies is linked to Donald Trump Jr. and another to a top Pentagon official. Yes they had good players, but their success this year was a product of that class running Chad Taylor's offense. If Barrier coach and Barrier son had stayed at Hardin, this team would've been in a battle for a playoff spot in their district, not a battle for a potential state championship.

Hardin had success because they were big up front, ran a wing T, and ran the fire out of the clock. If you truly think they had the horses to run a wide-open offense and sling it around like Barrier did at BH, then I am not sure this conversation is worth continuing to have.
