Whos next at Permian?

Recommended Posts

LOL!  Let's look at it again!  11-1, 8-5, 7-4, 2-8  Yeah, nothing's changed.  Still down hill.
The original question was is he going to Permian.  My answer is why would they hire him with a declining record.  My thought is if Gary Gaines can't do it then I just don't think your coach could do it either.  Again, Nederland would hate to see him go.  You know -- since we pretty well own ya'll!  ;D
As for your statement -- t's only be a matter of time.  History is on my side.    ::)

All I said was that it's been down hill for the Injun boys.  The record reflects that as a fact.  I give you what is; you give me what's hoped for!    ;)

11-1, 8-5, 7-4, 2-8.  Like I said -- down hill.

I beg to differ Smitty. This past season was bad we will all agree, but his second season the team went three deep and gave a huge Manvel team all they could handle. Third year we lost on the toe of a once in a lifetime kicker. His playoff record is 3-3 (not bad). Also he has had good coaches on staff that have helped to mold solid programs at the Middle Schools, which I think we are starting to see payoff now at the JV and Freshman levels and most of us expect to see on the Varsity level beginning next season.

Smitty...keep this post for your records and see what you're writing the next 4 years.

More like you can't pick on Coach Spell at Nederland anymore and need a new target. ;)

Smitty if you want facts as you put it, then you are wrong. It hasn't been all downhill record wise. 7-4 is a better winning percentage than 8-5...Fact! ;)

Also, we went deeper in the playoffs in Faircloth's second season than we did in his first. We also shouldn't forget that we were no less than second in district in Faircloth's first three seasons, or that we lost to Dayton in the first round last year because of a record-setting kicker you only see once in a lifetime.

I said myself that I didn't think Faircloth could get on at Permian after a 2-8 season, but the 'declining record' argument is bogus. Even with a terrible season under his belt, Faircloth has a .609 record. That speaks volumes.
