I'm predicting Shorter has more yards than Roberts.    Shorter #3 rb junior getting looks from Ou and Utah...
Idk about all that lol Shorter is good. Really good actually. But I haven't seen anything from him that shouts major D-1. At all. JuCo, D-3, D-2, or MAYBE small-school D-1(Lamar, McNeese, SFA).

Soph- 1500yrds 26tds. Junior so far 51 carries. 715yards 12tds. ..just saying Ou has been in contact with him ..  Dj his cousin has already commited to Utah.

One reason Shorter hasn't gotten a lot of press is Newton has multiple backs that carry the ball. The yards he has gotten and the great runs he has have been limited by playing time and number of carries. He is the real deal. WT has said that OU and Utah are looking at him and I believe Utah has offered over the phone. So I don't see where eagleswoodville#1's opinion matters too much. Just saying in current vernacular.
No doubt in my mind he is the real deal. It's just smart football passing the ball around, to keep other team from keying on one player. Especially if you have two good backs. I can see where it takes away from Shorters yardage. Newton will be tough at home and with alot of talent makes it hard on opponents to overcome. EC will have to overcome Friday and play smart Football.

I did know DJ had commited. Rightfully so. He deserves it. Take a look at some of the RB's that OU has signed in the past. You'll notice a huge difference in the numbers. Lol but he is a very good back. And good luck to him.

You're talking about one of the most storied college football programs in the nation in OU. Look at some of the runningbacks they've recruited in the past then tell me, unless he had an AMAZING combine like Dean did, why they would want him to run the ball. I could see him being a good defensive back or slot reciever potentially though.

Id have to see it to believe it. But I promise, if im wrong, I will man up and admit it lol now we may not see eye to eye on this, but I do believe Newton will man-handle EC this year. Newton is just too much.

NEWTON WILL DEFINETLY HAVE TO BRING THEIR "A" GAME.IF THEY PLAY AS BAD AS THEY DID LAST WEEK AGAINST K-VILLE,THEY WILL LOSE.HOPING THEY PLAY BETTER EAGLES IN A CLOSE ONE.
Newton didn't play bad, Kirbyville is not as bad as everyone think.

okay thats fine. And many many more than you obviouslu think. Do you think all I watch is Woodville lol? Trumain Thomas, Earl Thomas, Jeremy Johnson, Sean Weatherspoon, Dale Dean, Terrence Singleton, Caleb Bluett, Jonathon Gray, etc. I can keep going. Yes, i've seen many D1 prospects bud. Even at the Tailback position.

State ranking div. 2A DI

#2 Newton

Newton is undefeated, at the top of the state rankings, and is playing unranked EC at their home. Should be a cakewalk of a game for Newton.  ;)
............never know it might be a cakewalk for EC like last years cakewalk ;)
I read on another site: Compared to Newton, EC is "not even on the map".  No worries at all, rest easy Newton.
Thanks for the advice! We will now. Or maybe during the running clock the entire fourth quarter.
