23 & 24-4a districts may as well have a automatic bye playing rd #2 against 21/22 4a Hou Metro teams ;)

Just help me to understand .... If a team finished first in their district they have a bye the first week?

Only 2a division 1 & 2 and 1a division 1 & 2 do the district champs get a bye in the bi-district round. All classes have no byes.

Sorry, but you are absolutely and completely WRONG. Had the poster asked only about 5-A, 4-A and 3-A (I think, but you might take a closer look) you would have been correct, but in 2A there are SEVERAL BYES because they didn't have enough teams to fill every district, so certain districts get the byes, not only in football, but in every sport they play. Look at the playoff bracket provided and scroll down to 2A. FYI
