Yeah, I would have to think if ANYONE is Southeast Texas, it would be LaMarque, Friendswood, Dickinson. SETX is not just Beaumont.

Beaumont is more East Southeast Tx

So, I am going with the kid from LaMarque, Ford, and Albritton

[/quote] Jarred Howard from Kountze. Best overall RB hands down. Howard has the size, 6'1 220lbs. He runs with power and has the speed to break a long run. Like the 80 yard TD run he broke against Anahauc. Howard has no supporting cast and faces 9 man fronts every game ! Kid still rushes for 150-250 yards a game and 3-4 TD's !! WOW !! He is a D-1 player. Howard will mature even more in college.

His numbers are good, but he's not as talented as others mentioned on this board.  Like in Ford's case, Albritton has sat out at least the 4th qtr in every game besides the Kinkaid game - and in another instance against Warren, he had 5 carries for 91 yds.  Don't want to take away from what Howard is doing, however, give Albritton or Ford 30 carries a game and allow them to play all 48 minutes and these backs would already be close to 2000yds.  Have to look at the big picture, not only supporting casts!

Easy fellas, they are still having withdrawls from the Glory days. Texas is a big state, SE Texas is not just the Golden Triangle/Beaumont Area.

Ford has evolved into a total running back now and not just an out-side scat back..Iv'e watched him progress with the coaching he's getting and he's looking better all the time..He can get the short yards now through the line,and he is pretty good at blocking...With Ervine in the back-field too..A pretty good combo...

About 5 years ago or so Marble Falls was in region 3, so I don't know if you can use region 3 as a map for southeast Texas!!! LCM played them in the second round of the baseball playoffs!!

Chase Bertrand had a great article today in the Port Arthur News.  "This 5-10, 195-pounder has been able to reap the benefit of more time learning PN-G's offense. The best news for Indians' fans is Chase has another year and a half to deliver more bright and shining moments."  Definitely in the running for the best running back.

Ford has been doing a lot of that lately too...Plus Ervine & Heywood in the back-field..With 3 district games to go,He's still managed a 1,044 yd's to date...Good Luck on the rest of the season... ;)
