GCM and Pasadena Sam Rayburn got in about 4 1/3 before the stands were cleared because of a "Shelter in Place" alarm in the Pasadena area.

Cody Butler worked 3 solid innings for the Goose.

GCM will host Magnolia on Saturday in the last tune-up of the year.

11:00 A.M.

Magnolia has a SS who signed with A&M and a LHP who has signed with Texas State. Should provide a good test prior to the first "game". Last year's scrimmage in Magnolia was an excelent barometer for the Patriots.

6-6 in the 8th.
Sr. Jason Savoie hits a solo blast in his first AB, on his First swing of the season. He finally saw action today after tearing his ACL during the Patriots 3rd football game.

K-Park 14 Klien Forest 5....it's hard to keep up with the score in scrimmages but it's something like that. Klein forest scored 3 runs in the last inning (10th I think) off 4 walks and 2 hbp from a pitcher that probably will not get that much time. All the K-Park starters and the players who will contribute this season had hits in the game. There were a couple of HRs also. Klien Forest did not look like a 5A team, they looked more like weak 4A or a 3A team. I still can't get a feel for K-Park, time will tell.

Glad to hear it for the kid..that had to be tough as a sr to his football season end so quickly. Good luck to him and GCM

      It has been frustrating seeing the lack of coverage from virtually EVERY media outlet.  We (Chester) are in the SE Texas coverage area.  There are no radio broadcast from our area, and Ch 12 is the only one that has even mentioned it.   I know I could have gotten donations to cover a SETX Sports broadcast.  Oh well, water under the bridge - we aren’t as big as Silsbee, WO-S or PN-G.
